pick up WOC picnic meals - where and when

Our e-mail confirmation says we can pick up our WOC picnic meals from 2pm - 8pm but on the Disney website it says you can pick up your picnic from 11:30am. Has anyone tried picking up their food before 2pm? Also do you get a better section if you pick it up earlier? And where exactly is the Golden Vine Winery? What is it near? Thanks.

The Golden Vine Winery is just past WCT as you head to the back of the park.

Anyone know for sure how early you can pick up your picnic boxes? I think we'd rather have this for lunch and then find somewhere to have dinner before lining up for our spots.

Why not just show up at 11:30 or noon and see what happens?

I think they are encouraging the pre-orders to pick up later because of all the people who are buying that day. I'm guessing they are trying to avoid lines of people.

The cm I talked to said we could pick them up any time.

I did the picnic meal option, and I recommend it. They have a designated area, clearly marked for the picnic meals. I didn't try to pick them up early, so I don't know if they will have it staffed earlier than 2pm. It would be nice to be able to pick it up earlier. We got an ice cream cone earlier in the day, so we could hold off and have the picnic meal for lunch. It was a hardship!

I did the picnic meal the other day. One CM told me I couldn't get the meal before 2:00 p.m. The other CM who was right told me to show up at the 11:30 a.m opening of Sonoma Terrace. I stood in the short line, which moved very quickly. You have to pick up your meal at time of purchase, and only one (1) person has to be there to get the meals and FP's. The website says you can pick up the meals later after purchase, but Sonoma CM's said not so. It was at time of purchase. Even people who purchased picnics online, had to take their meals when they showed up. Sonoma Terrace is right next to Wine Country Trattoria.
