Pick at Poly

I am planning on going to the poly on our arrival for lunch. Want to try a walk up location and will be there probably around 1pm.

Do you have a favorite or recommendation between Captain Cooks, Tambu and (is Trader Sam's open?)

If so - what are your fav options?

We can do apps and drinks as dinner will be early when the rest of the party arrives at 5pm laterthat day.

Trader Sam's is not open at 1.

I think it is really up to you - whether you want more of a bar/lounge atmosphere or a true quick service. If you want to eat quickly and be on your way or relax and spend a little time there. I think it depends on personal preference.

When we arrive at monorail resorts around lunch time, we usually do Captain Cook’s or it’s equivalent (Gasparilla at GF or Contempo at Contemporary) and then walk around the resort, go to the pool or do a loop on the monorail. The lounge-type atmosphere doesn’t appeal to us right after we arrive. Quick service works best for us. We do have small kids now and that plays a part but even before kids, this is how we handled our arrival lunches.

You should try and go when Trader Sam's is open. Totally worth it to wait until a later time when it is. Captain Cook's is whatever to me. Tambu Lounge would be your best bet in my opinion.
