Pick a new resort theme.

I would like a moderate Pirate and Princess themed resort not so much like an All stars, but with Medieival Old English style buildings with maybe a moat around it. I think it would be really popular.

Ohhh! Outer Space, that a good one! So is something to do with being under the sea. I know there is a hotel being built in Dubai that is underwater. Imagine the views from the room. No real sunlight though and I can't imagine where they would build something like that :(

Room design for "Hydropolis" being built in Dubai.

Very cool pic of Hydropolis in Dubai, it looks awesome. I would be afraid the Disney divers were peeping on me if they built a hotel like this. LOL!!!

I have a couple ideas.

How about a Seasons Theme, so you can get the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. You could incorporate snow, leaves, flowers, beach for each of the seasons.

Also, a Characters theme. So for girls Princesses, Pop Star etc. Boys Pirates, Power Rangers, Star Wars.

A British theme! Imagine extending the excellent work and concepts they've presented at the Cinderella Castle Suite (in a more affordable manner, of course) to an entire resort! Additionally, they have more than a few of their movies to draw from for theming (Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Treasure Island, The Sword in the Stone, Alice in Wonderland, Bedknobs and Broomsticks...so many more)

I would LOVE a villians themed ANYTHING! Disney villians are not represented nearly enough, and there are so many people out there who love them! :maleficen

I think a Hollywood Tower Hotel would be amazing, too.

I also like the pirate/princess idea. I don't care if I'm turning 20 this year, I would love to stay there. pirate:

I think the most plausible and likely addition would be an Asian themed resort that really played on the beauty and architectural styles of traditional Asian structures such as pagodas, etc. They could also incorporate some excellent authentic restaurants in the mold of Jiko but with a Chinese/Japanese style. I think that the gardens/rock ponds/night lighting could be incredibly beautiful.

Having said that, it does not make fiscal sense for Disney to create rooms for larger families unless this specific reason was forcing families to go off property. If Disney found that they were losing a substantial amount of business because of this policy, than they would work to change it. Moreso, if Disney did start building these rooms, what makes you think that smaller families wouldnt just opt for these rooms first because it would give them more space? And then you would have to place a premium on these rooms... oh wait... thats what villas are there for.

Amy, great thread!!!!! I would really like to see a pirates theme! My boys would love that, and I would love a moderate that sleeps 5 comfortably! That's why we're always @ a deluxe- I need sleep space for 5- that doesn't include a trundle! And it would be nice that we didn't have to break the bank or my DH working all the OT. I would be hard pressed to leave the POLY- but it would a nice thing to try!!!

Great ideas.......

Love the underwater room idea but wouldn't appreciate Nemo and Dori staring at me in my mickey's.

Totally like the Pirates theme!! I also think that they should put a California-themed hotel - something that kind of celebrates how Disney originated. Granted, out here in SoCal, at DL, we have the Grand Californian - maybe something similar to that......

The Marriott Horizons has a really cool pirate ship pool with water guns and such, it would be great to see something like that at a pirate themed hotel.
