Ok folks.....as we have discussed many times on this board....people want to know what is on the All Hands on Deck Platter from room service and what makes it so popular.....well....here is a pic from our 9/25...I mean 9/27 shortened Magic cruise so you can judge for yourself.

The cheeses were:

Blue/Gorgonzola (I can't tell one from the other)
Cheddar
Swiss
Brie
Smoked Gouda
Baby Bell

There were also the grapes and a cup of walnuts....

The cracker selection sometimes varies but these were very good!!!

We enjoyed this wonderful platter out on our veranda after a hard day of lounging at the adult pool!!!!

Is this something that is part of the room service menu?

I'd love nothing more than to lounge on our verandah with a good bottle of wine and some tasty cheese...

Ha ha! I love it! I told my dh that i should've taken a picture of it because we ate it so many times!

And the red-cased one is Baby Bell -- very yummy. After the first day, we requested no blue cheese.

Yes, this is something you can order from room service. Also, don't forget to ask them what the "cake of the day" is. We had several orders!

Yum! I'm drooling! Counting the minutes til I can order my own...:hyper:

Wow! The past cruises we've been on only included gorgonzola (the "blue"), smoked edam and Swiss, I believe -- crackers and grapes, no walnuts. Wonder if this is a difference between the 3 day and 7 day cruises? It got me hooked on gorgonzola, too!

Personally....I think they use whatever is available at the time and add garnishments like the grapes and walnuts at their fancy. We have sailed on several 7 day cruises and the platter is always a bit different each time.

ours always included celery but this was on the wonder

makes a great treat during the shows or movies, just remember a few ziploc bags

Thanks for posting this. Looking forward to ordering this again on our Halloween cruise.

Someone mentioned "cake of the day" and I have to ask... what types did they offer?

I have a monster sweet tooth... :teeth:

Yes...it is free.... meaning.... included in the price you paid for the cruise....we all know that nothing onboard is actually "free"!!!! We all paid dearly for it!!! LOL

The link at the beginning of this post is no longer valid. Does anyone have a current picture of the All Hands on Deck platter? Thanks!

That picture is very nice, but not what it looked like on the Wonder last month. Last month it was 3 slices of gorgonzola, 3 slices of cheddar, about 10 wheat crackers and some grapes. Not so great, but it is "free" room service so I wasn't complaining!
