Pi Beta Alpha -- Hand over the purple and no one will get hurt.

Stop having a boring tuna, stop having a boring life!

I guess she has no choice!:lmao: I'd die though without my internet:surfweb:.

 That's true. Yeah, it'd be really hard for me to go without the internet for a while. Unfortunately, I think that I'm going to have to get my computer fixed, so I'll probably have to live without it for a few days. :scared:

Well, sadly, I must get to bed now. I wish that I could stay on longer so we could chat more. :guilty: Hey, before I go, I just wanted to tell you that I hired a private chef for our sorority house! Go to the first page and look at the "sorority house staff" post. :teeth:

I'll do my nightly message to the rest of the sorority sisters before I log off.

No, remember what I told you in my PM about I Love You and sign language?:goodvibes

Oh, that's what that means. Sorry! That's so cute. Now your symbol of love will be with you every time you post. :thumbsup2

By the way, did you see our new private chef?

ETA: OK, I feel really stupid. I thought that picture was of the "sign of the horns". :lmao:

Sorry, I don't know any sign language! Well, actually, I do know how to do most of the alphabet in sign language, but I don't really know any words or phrases. Hey, you should teach us some sign language on Trivia Thursdays (if you have the time). Just post a picture of a hand symbol and tell us what it means. :thumbsup2 Are you down with that?

Good night Tig!!!

It's finally Friday!! Time for the

Good news, ladies! I hired a private chef for our sorority house. He's was highly recommended by a friend of mine and he is distantly related to Jenny's "husband". You can see a picture of him on the first page in the "sorority house staff" post. :teeth:

Here are some videos featuring our new chef.

How to make donuts

How to make spaghetti

How to make meatballs

How to roll out dough

For Jenny- I hope you can see this! You can find links to other related videos on this site.

Keeping with the theme, here are a couple of quizzes to take:

Quiz #1

Quiz #2

(Not satisfied with your quiz results? Tell me who your favorite one is and why. :teeth:)

OK, peeps, have fun! Feel free to post your own fluffy topic to discuss or take a virtual trip somewhere! I probably won't get to go on the DIS till the evening because I've got to go to a meeting in the afternoon.

I hope that you all have a great day! :)

I missed this when I read through the posts earlier. I love chocolate and peanut butter, too! I also love chocolate and pumpkin. :goodvibes

I've never tried that combo. I don't know if I've ever tried pumpkin anything. I think I was a little iffy about every trying it because pumpkins don't look all that appetizing. I'll give it a try next Thanksgiving. :)

At least I have a 4 day weekend next week...and some NKOTB to look forward to. :thumbsup2 I got asked by someone on the NKOTB board that has an extra ticket to go to the concert in Baltimore Thursday night, which would mean two nights of them in a row. I'm mulling it over but I'm not sure yet...

Hope to chat with some of you later!

I got Kermit for both Quiz #1 and Quiz #2. I think I'm going a little too green for St. Paddy's day, don't ya think? :rotfl: I decided to take the second one again and answered "Please don't hurt me" for all the questions. I ended up with Beaker. Now that's more like it! :lmao:

I've never tried that combo. I don't know if I've ever tried pumpkin anything. I think I was a little iffy about every trying it because pumpkins don't look all that appetizing. I'll give it a try next Thanksgiving. :)

Yes, please give it a try! You may be pleasantly surprised. The pumpkin-chocolate combo is definitely not for everybody, though...........just for weird pumpkin freaks like me. ;)

Happy Saturday, girls! Does anyone have anything fun planned for the weekend?

I saw this article on Yahoo today. I think that you all will enjoy it, even though it's an obituary. This lady was quite a woman.

http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/obits/stories/2009/03/13/Myrtice_McCurdy_obituary.html

In honor of this woman's memory, I would like to share this.

THE PURPLE HAT

Age 3: She looks at herself and sees a Queen.

Age 8: She looks at herself and sees Cinderella.

Age 15: She looks at herself as the "Ugly Sister"-"Mom, I can't go to school looking like this!"

Age 20: She looks at herself and sees, "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"-but decides she's going out anyway.

Age 30: She looks at herself and sees, "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"-but decides she doesn't have time to fix it so she's going out anyway.

At 40: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"-but says, "At least I'm clean," and goes out anyway.

Age 50: She looks at herself, sees "I am", and goes wherever she wants to go.

Age 60: She looks at herself and reminds herself of all the people who can't even see themselves in the mirror anymore. Goes out and conquers the world.

Age 70: She looks at herself and sees wisdom, laughter and ability, goes out and enjoys life.

Age 80: Doesn't bother to look. Just puts on a purple hat and goes out to have fun with the world.

Maybe we should all grab that purple hat earlier.

Anything goes today. Just post anything that you think is fun. I'll probably be out most of the day, but I hope that we can still chat for a bit. Have a great day! :upsidedow

ETA: I almost forgot! Minnie said that she'd like to take a virtual trip around the world one of these days. I love that idea! :woohoo: We'd better start planning our itinerary now. So tell me, where would YOU like to visit while we're on our trip?

:lmao: I'm so gonna be the Swedish Chef for Halloween. Can you imagine me showing up to MNSSHP like that?

I can't go to NKOTB. There's only 2 of us in the office that day and no way is my boss going to let one of us leave early. I would've loved to go, especially since the seats were so close and it would have been a mini DIS meet, but ah well. At least I still get to see them on Friday!

I loved that that woman's hair was purple. :) She was so cute!

I'll be in a travel fair for most of the day today so I may be off and on!

As for the trip: London baby! London. And Las Vegas. Even though I've already been there twice. I love it. And maybe Austraila too.

Stop having a boring tuna, stop having a boring life!

Cool! :thumbsup2 (Psst! I didn't get your PM.)
I know. My computer kicked me off 5 times while I was writing it.:sad2: I finally gave up and went to bed. I'm working on it now.
Happy Saturday, girls! Does anyone have anything fun planned for the weekend?
I, sadly, have to work tonight. And I'm working all by myself.... no one there to keep me from thinking "Ugh, I have to work.":sad1:

:lmao: That'd be sooooo funny!! I dare you to actually do that!! :rotfl:

Yup, that's right! The countdown is in single digits now. :woohoo:

I loved that that woman's hair was purple. :) She was so cute!

I know! She's my hero. I want to be just like her when I get older. Just for the record, I intend to join the Red Hat Society when I turn 50. :thumbsup2 (Yes, I'm actually serious.)

I'll be in a travel fair for most of the day today so I may be off and on!

How's it going so far?

As for the trip: London baby! London. And Las Vegas. Even though I've already been there twice. I love it. And maybe Austraila too.

Thanks! I've always wanted to go to Australia, too. We should ask Carmen San Diego to be our tour guide. ;)

I know. My computer kicked me off 5 times while I was writing it.:sad2: I finally gave up and went to bed. I'm working on it now.

Ugh, that stinks. :badpc: Well, thanks for sending them. I finished responding to them a little while ago. :thumbsup2

I, sadly, have to work tonight. And I'm working all by myself.... no one there to keep me from thinking "Ugh, I have to work.":sad1:

No WC today? :sad2:  Well, I hope that you still have a good time at work. In any case, I hope that the time flies by for you.

Anywhere goes with me!:thumbsup2 I mainly want to see Australia, though.

Cool, another vote for Australia! :woohoo:

As for me, I would like to go to Italy, Greece, Israel, Egypt, Prince Edward Island, Costa Rica, China, the Bahamas (as well as other Caribbean Islands), and New York. Since this is a fantasy trip, I'm pretending that there are no conflicts in any part of the world and that it is safe to travel anywhere.

Happy Sunday Ladies!!

I hope you all had a really nice weekend. Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of days- things have been hectic around here! I'm so happy to find the time to just come to the DIS and relax! :cool2:

I didn't do too much this weekend- went to Target to look for bathing suits and didn't find any I really liked.. :snooty: and then watched Enchanted! I forgot how much I loved that movie!!

Hey Ladies!!

Happy Monday! I am home sick today.. :headache:  . I won't go into too much detail but let's just say I've been having some stomach issues where food doesn't like to stay in my body. :rolleyes1 In addition, I keep passing out?! Everything goes dark, I have to sit/lay down, I don't know what's going on.. :confused3 Any idea what this whole passing out thing is? It's happend 4 times :guilty:

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope that you all had a great weekend.

I found a great site that has a lot of different mysteries to solve. The link below automatically takes you to one of them, but if you click on "online mysteries" you can find many more. Happy sleuthing!

http://www.mysterynet.com/solveit/

Not really into mysteries? Well please do me a favor and help me name our watch dog and our cats. You can see the pictures of them on the first page in the "sorority house staff" post. The names can be silly or conventional. Have fun! :)

Hi Rora! Nice to have you back! I'm glad that you had a great weekend. Yeah, I was kinda busy this weekend too, especially on Sunday. :faint:

As for the virtual vacation, we can definitely start it today if you want to! Whoever gets to the thread first can start planning out some things. I'll probably join in at about 4 pm EST.

Jenny, since you're a travel consultant, you can help us take care of our travel arrangements. ;) I hear that the Carmen San Diego tour company is really good. :rolleyes1
