My family always picks on me for hanging out at the DVC kiosks throughout WDW. Over the course of many years, we've met some wonderful people who work for the DVC. We met both of the CMs pictured below during our August 2000 vacation when we cruised on the inaugural 7-day sailing of the Disney Magic (using 725 points for a Cat4 cabin). We made our own land/sea package by spending 4 wonderful nights at the Boardwalk Villas, our first venture away from our home resort of Old Key West. Marti at Epcot We spent a lot of time with Marti (and her cohorts) on the Disney Magic. It was the first time that DVC had a presence on a DCL ship. We had a great time telling prospective DVC owners how our cruise only cost us $75. I think we must have talked at least 3 or 4 families into joining DVC on that trip. Too bad Ohio was one of those states that disallowed referral rewards at that time. This was the first time that I'd seen Marti since 2000, but somehow she remembered me. CJ at Disney Studios During our stay at Boardwalk Villas, we met and got to know CJ. We found out that she and her husband were orignally from NE Ohio, living just a few miles away from our current home. I have had the fortune to run into CJ (or Carol depending on which name badge she is wearing) on several vacations since 2000. So there are two of the people that make being a DVC member an extra special treat for me.
