I know a lot of folks are considering or have booked at Ron Jons Caribe Resort in Port Canaveral. We were there the first week of March and loved it.

I have included a few photos to whet your appetite

A couple years ago, the Florida Tourist Board ran an ad campaign using the slogan, "Florida... the rules are different here." That slogan could definitely apply to their choice of colors in the resort and in the resort's suites. Where else but in Florida could you get away with those color choices? LOL!

Grumbo, thanks for the photos... especially the one showing how you can see the resort from the ship! Obviously that means that you can easily see the ship from the resort as well.

HI, BEAUTIFUL pics!! Do you have any prices on this resort? We are thinking of booking a 4day cruise for next April 2005 and would want to be in the area a day or two early. Thanks for the info! Joan

You are SO right about the colours. They are really wild and vibrant BUT are PERFECT for this type of place. The palm trees from your balcony, the warm temperatures and its great.
Somehow don't think I want it in my place as I do my coat up in the winter to start the snowblower up so I can get out of the driveway

I have a photo of my wife smiling in front of the washer/dryer that is IN the unit. I don't think she'd appreciate me posting it but YES the units have their own washer/dryer.
The two bedroom was $195. I have heard others got it cheaper and others paid more. Read the other threads re a Discount 300 and Discount 201 I believe. If you give those numbers you should get a 25% discount.

Wow, it seems too good to be true! A beautiful resort, a spectacular water area AND laundry facilities right in the unit!!

The one and two bedrooms have washer/dryer. The studio does not. Goodness, I am bitter about that!!! It is the only thing that is stopping me from staying there!!! Laundry!

Same for us. We are doing 4 nights at WDW prior to the cruise. We are at an $89 rate at the Radisson, where they have laundry for all and the "free" shuttle....so to stay at Ron Jon for just one night would cost us more just to be able to do laundry and take the shuttle. We will most certainly keep it in mind for long Coco Beach trips in the future.
