We are booked for two night prior to the cruise. It looks like the kids will stay busy.

It is fantastic for the kids. There is the inside playground if its raining or for the evening, the theatre with movies, mini golf, a basketball court on top of one of the parking garages (very hot even in March), and then the water area. The golf carts will take you over to the beach which is adjacent to Jetty Park. All and all a great location and imho far superior to a hotel or motel. We picked up bagels and toasted them in the morning for our breakfast and had cereal etc with our milk from the fridge. We will definitely stay longer than the one night we did this year if the rates are reasonable and available next year.

Wow!!

I'd love to stay here, I'm just concerned about the transportation end.

If you don't rent a car or have a car, how do you transport from airport/resort/ship?

We are also booked for a 2 night stay in a one-bedroom prior to our cruise this May. We secured a one-bedroom for $109 a night utilizing code 102. We can’t wait to enjoy some time here! We were booked at the Radisson and decided to cancel and flip over to the Ron Jon and do not foresee ourselves regretting the decision from all I have read and seen of the new resort.

CRB#33- As for airport to the Ron Jon. There are several companies spoken highly of on these boards that offer towncar/limo service. I have read recently that the RonJon now has a deal with a shuttle service to get you back and forth from the port. I think the cost is $5 per person/per way. I may be off on the cost though.

We'll be staying here in April (22 and 23 in a studio using code #102 at a rate of $75/nt), and I was dying to see someones photos. BTW, I think it's funny that you northerners are so surprised by our pretty colors down here! I've been down here since I was a little kid, and have little memory of up north, these bright, pretty colors are all I know. I wonder what colors northerners choose to paint their rooms/homes???

Why lurontravel BEIGE of course. When I had my own apartment at one point in my life I moved in and bought gallons and gallons of beige paint. I just wanted it clean and fresh so painted, walls, baseboards, ceilings everything beige. Looking back surprised I didn't jump of the balcony

I learned about code 102 on these boards and used it to book our room. I believe the code is from the Florida Travel Magazine

thanks for posting the pics Grumbo. Now I really can't wait to stay there in October! The laundry and shuttle aren't a big deal to me since we're renting a car and we can always do laundry at night on the ship. To me this place seems a lot better than the Radisson, plus my room was cheaper than what I would have paid at the Radisson.

We just returned from 2 great nights at the Ron Jon! I was amazed at how close it was to the port. We actually watched the Magic sail out from our room, it was close enough to read the name on the ship!

I think this is an issue with the DIS. I uploaded my photos to their server. I don't think you can get into them anymore.
Anyone know what is up with the Dis Photo site??
