My friends actually were on that cruise so I was looking in the crowd for them in the deck pics!!! Didn't find them but I know they had also had a great time that week. My friends's nephew proposed to his finance out on Secret Deck 7 that week...and even had Mickey himself come out for photos!!!!

I LOVE looking at everyone's photo's... it gives me great ideas for taking pictures when I finnnaaalllly get to go..

The secret deck is the "hidden" deck at the aft of deck 7, Barb has pictures on her website... there's a door, but I guess a lot of people don't realize it leads out to a small quiet area.. I'll be looking for it in January.

Thanks! Yes, I did purchase the tropical dress (actually a matching top and pants/wrap thing) at the port in St. Maarten (dutch side). It was the first shop I came to, just off the boat. It was only $12! There are a ton of shops with outfits just like this there. My husband got his shirt for only $6, and we bought matching shorts/shirt for each of our sons for only $8/outfit.

We talked to several salespeople, and from what we could gather, they bring most of the clothing in from India. It kind of seemed like there was one owner who walked around and told the salespeople how low they could go. We figured this out because no matter what shop we went to, he always seemed to be right behind us. It was kind of funny after a while, considering we weren't big spenders by any means. We just wanted some cool digs for tropical night!

If you don't mind my asking -was the price originally more than 12 and did you ask for less or do they offer. I'm not great at that sort of thing. Thanks for such a quick response.

The original price she told me was $12, and that's what I paid. It seemed like such a good deal, and I'm not at all one to barter, so I just bought it, no questions asked (in hindsight, maybe that's why the guy started following us around!)

My husband got a little braver with his shirt and I think talked the sales guy down from $8 to $6, but I think we bought some maracas or a shark tooth necklace there too, so who knows.

The way I looked at it, I was happy to pay the first price. It seemed like good quality stuff for a low price, so what the heck.

Still trying to get in at Disney, but I've wanted to move to Florida since May of 2001. A friend bought my house and is watching my dog. My parents are letting me stay at their house until I find a job. I've talked to some Temp Agencies, and that's it. I going to Florida. I don't want to live in Minnesota anymore, but I will miss it.
