There been a lot of discussions about this and I'm a bit confused....

You pay for the PP before you go - where from?

you get the little card like they hand out at the parks (only done it this way before) - can you have more than 1 card on the same account as sometimes me and DD go on different rides to DH & DS?

We are not staying on site, does that make a difference?

Is there anything else I should know about it?

I thought I knew a lot about WDW but looking at all the threads I seem to have slipped

hi,

i have also been looking into this after reading about it on this site and looking at the wdw site it seems you can order it online and if its so many days before u you get it discounted, than you get a voucher pack which you exchange at wdw for your photopass card and lanyard, cd etc, and from what i have read when you go on rides, even if you go on them separately you just give the card to the next person and all photos will go on that card.

you have the photopass+ ($149) which includes dining and ride photos
and the regular photopass ($99) which is ... the regular photopass

photopass+ has to be purchased at least 14 days in advance in order to receive the voucher. If not you'll need to purchase it in WDW ($199)
you'll need to take your voucher to a photopass kiosk (DTD or park) to excange it for your photopass+ card (a red one)
this entitles you to a photoCD for the same price.
you'll get actual prints for dining photos, and digital downloads for ride photos

photopass (regular photoCD) can be ordered in advance, as long as it's before taking your first picture. You'll get a credit applied to your photopass account, this will get you the photoCD
you can get a regular photopass card with any photographer
regular photopass card can't be used for dining or ride photos

you can add regular photopass cards to a photopass+ account. The regular ones won't be valid for dining and rides, but will still do their jobs for characters, or main street photos (for example)
but for rides and dining you NEED the red photopass+ card.

you get 1 (one) photopass+ card per order.
if you split up, you can still have the photos added to your photopass account
to get those ride photos, you need to go to the photo counter at the exit of the ride, give your photo number, and show your photopass+ card
for example : use the actual card, and have your DD write down her photo number from the other ride. Once you meet up, take the card to your DD's ride's photo counter, and give her photo number, to have it added onto the card (photos have to be added on the day they're taken)

Thank you, my DD has just come down and said that she will probably spend a lot of time with her friend so it would be good if we could get photos of her as well

If you pre-order the photopass plus firstly you need to order at least 14 days before you leave and second you will recieve a pack through the post:


You need to take the paper voucher with you but keep the CD case safe at home and do not lose the leaflet inside as it has the code to claim your PhotoCD after.

When you get to WDW you exchange your voucher for your PP+ card:


You need to show this card to claim any of the ride photos or the dining photo packages. You will only get one of these card.

You have 48 hours to claim the ride photos and it is possible to get the dining packages after too if you forget your card (like I might have done at TH but I wouldn't recommend it as it was a bit of a pain)

You can add as many of the regular cards as you want to your account as well to be included on your CD.

Am going in September next year, we going for 28 days and what get the photopass is the 30 days you have to order from the first time you use the card if so I have ordered when over there as we not going right home after flyer back to England and how far a head can we order photopass.

I'm not from the UK, but I had some similar questions and didn't want to start a duplicate thread.

First, can anyone list where the photopass booths are the redeem the voucher in each park? Does anyone know if the DTD one is open the whole time DTD is open? We get in late our first day, probably around 10pm, and I am considering taking a trip to DTD before I go to bed to make sure we have our card first thing in the morning.

Second, just to verify, everyone in our party can get a regular photopass card, we can combine them all online when we get home, and all the pictures, even from the regular cards will be free on the CD?
