Just returned from our first trip to Disney and wish I knew about DISboard before we went.

Looking for advice - Is it better to order the CD from Photopass or to download it?

Thoughts??

First of all, :welcome:

It depends

It is quicker and easier to do the download, but there is a maximum limit to how many photos you can have on your account to select this option, so you would want to see how many there are in total once you have finished all your editing and then check to see whether this is an option for you. We always have way too many so I order the CD (ours usually come on several discs due to the number of photos on there). The plus side of the digital download is that you get is immediately without waiting for snail mail, and you also save on shipping charges. The end product is exactly the same otherwise and there is no difference in price between the download and the CD

Hope this helps :goodvibes

Thank you very much firstly for your Welcome and secondly for the info.

I didn't know that there was a maximum number of photos that could be downloaded - it makes sense.

One more thing, do you know where we needed to get our picture taken to have the shot of tinkerbell in my son's hand?

Thanks again

We had our Tink shot taken in Main Street with the Castle as the backdrop. There are several PP photograhers stationed along the way to the castle and although they sometimes just do them without you asking, you can always ask. If that particular photographer is unable to do it for you, he/she will usually be quite happy to tell you where you need to go to get it.

The limit for the photo download is pretty high. We just have a habit of ending up with around 2000 photos once the borders are added :rotfl2: so it's never an option for us.

This is a great guide for anyone using Photopass for the first time, or just needing a little more info. There is a section called "Magic Shots" and it tells you where you can go to get which ones done. Not sure if all the info is up to date on there in terms of products and prices, but they are usually pretty good at keeping up with changes. (There is also a guide to Kidcot if you are doing Epcot - not sure how old your son is or if you were thinking about that).
