Photopass?

Can somebody please explain what exactly this is, how much it costs and how many pictures I get for the price?
Starting to plan our 2 week trip in May 09, takes a long time to save for Disney.

I prepurchased the CD for $99. When in the parks you get a photopass card from the WDW photographer. Make sure you record the # on the back somewhere in case you lose it! Anytime you see a photopass photographer stop to get your picture taken. When you get home you upload the photos from the card and then go to town editing (add borders, crop, black & white, etc). I just got back and when I uploaded my pictures we had about 150. By the time I was done editing I had 580! We got some great pictures of my niece in front of the castle holding Tinkerbelle. Does it cost anything to edit and print out the photos on your photopass card? What I mean is, is it the only $99 once and nothing else?

It doesn't cost anything to edit. You're sent a CD of the pictures and if you print them out at home there's no cost (other than your supplies). I've actually found its less expensive to have them done somewhere than to buy the ink and paper. I just got mine done (all 580+ on the photopass CD and the 430 I took myself) as a local place was having a sale at .10 a print.
