Are there any discounts?? we usually get one but then I feel compelled to get every single picture taken. This time we are taking a newborn and my Dhs aunt.

I really dont want to pay a fortune for this, will the photopass or CMs take a pic of us using our camera?

We were just there and I saw the PP photographer and CMs taking pics with people's cameras. CMs offered for us all the time.

If you preorder the photopass and get back from your trip and decide it was not worth it you can get a full refund on your purchase. if you dont preorder and get back and realize you have so many great pictures that you just have to buy the CD you will pay $50 more than you would have if you preordered.

For this reason the preorder is always a must for us.

Note: this only works with photopass not photopass+ which is nonrefundable.

PP CMs while most definitely use your camera if you ask.

I was sold on PP when I found that some lovely Disney fanatics created the idea of a PP share, where a group of 4-6 people share one account and split the cost. Whoever is in charge of the share is responsible for recieving the CD from Disney, and mailing out copies of the disc to each member of the share. Its a great savings if you're interested!

You can find the facebook group about shares here.

yes, but they only took one. SEVERAL of the ones they took with our camera were blurry. The pp ones were much better. (but I love pp, and got pp+ this time, I think its worth it, its my suvie :goodvibes)

Just curious.....how come the pp+ for WDW is so much more exp than DL... I prepaid for ours to DL in dec and it was like $70 WDW os $119!!??

I really wish I preordered. I had no intention of using Photopass, but kept handing that card over to the photographers. There were way more photographers than I thought I would see. They took pics with our camera, but I was curious as to what the Photopass pics looked like. They really capture some amazing shots, like the kids hugging the characters and DH getting a hug from Minnie. I ended up buying the CD because there were so many pics I wanted to buy! I would highly recommend preordering to save some $$!

I would imagine it's more at WDW simply because there are more opportunities to get pics at WDW. There are 4 parks vs 2 at DLR.

Pp+ is more than than that at WDW. $169 was the discount, I think. The other one doesnt include the ride and dining photos.

Can you have multiple cards tied to one account? I've always wondered with large groups that may split up in the parks.

Yes. If you have photo pass plus, you only get one of those cards, but you add more regular pp cards to either. The plus card is required o get the attraction and inning photos added.

ok wait a second, am i understanding this right? if you preorder a photopass cd and then the pictures don't turn out the way you'd hoped or you didn't get enough pictures (which is my real concern) you can get a FULL REFUND??????

In my experience, PP photographers' skill ranges from good/decent to kind of poor, whether they were using their Disney-issued cameras or my point-and-shoot. I also didn't see tons of them around, except for at characters or at the entrances of the parks/near the park icons. Even with them taking just one photo with my camera and 20 or more with theirs, oftentimes, the one with my camera was just as good as the ones they took. I didn't pre-order and ended up buying only 3 photos because theirs were better than mine.

That is correct. They will give you a full refund for Photopass CD. This was taken directly from Disney's terms and conditions on the photopass pre-order page:

"By taking advantage of the Pre-Arrival Offer, you can save on our most popular memory keepsake! Once you have purchased a Pre-arrival Savings Offer, you will receive a credit in your shopping cart on DisneyPhotoPass.com for the product you pre-ordered. When you are ready to purchase, add the product you pre-ordered to your shopping cart and place your order. Applicable shipping and handling charges and taxes will be charged to all orders. The applicable credit will be deducted from your cart and applied to your order. If for any reason you decide that you do not wish to fulfill your pre-arrival PhotoCD order just let us know within 90 days from the date of Pre-purchase and we will remove the credit from your cart and grant you a full refund".

This is not true if you order Photopass+ as that is not refundable.

I'm a big fan of photopass.

Yes, they will take pictures with your camera, but sometimes the photopass gets ones when you're busy with the autograph books, or they take a ton of really good candid photos, and then you don't have to worry if they turned out blurry with your camera, there's always another one.

You can pre order the cd and save money on it. It's always worth it in my opinion!
