Photopass voucher....then what?

I ordered Photopass and my voucher and the Photo Gallery CD came yesterday, but I'm totally new to Photopass so....

My first question is...what is the Photo Gallery CD for? Is it just generic pictures of DL?

Second, it says that there is a voucher inside to order the PhotoPass PhotoCD online. Is this how we get all of our pics once we get home? I assume I'll have to upload the pics using the unique number on the back of my Photopass Card. Then, I add all the pics to my cart, add the voucher number and get a CD of all of our photopass pics sent to my home? And I can have these printed anywhere (walmart, shutterfly, etc?).

Correct, the gallery CD is full of stock photos.

That voucher has the number you will enter when you are ready to order your CD of images taken during your trip. The CD will have a release contained as an image, giving you permission to print them anywhere.

There is one thing that you have to take to the parks with you though for your pp+ card so make sure and remember to take that with you!!

That's correct. The redemption certificate should be taped to the outside of that photo gallery CD.

You do not add all of the photos to your cart. When you are done editing and adding borders to your photos, you want to add the photo CD to your cart only. When you add the code you get, the amount will change to $0 and you will have the option to download or have a CD sent.

It's that voucher taped to the outside that gets you the ride and dining photos in the parks. You'll want to call about that since it's critical to getting the "plus" out of photopass plus. That voucher is exchanged on premises for a special Photopass card and it is that special card that gets your unlimited ride and dining photos.

You turn in your voucher at the Photo Shop on Main Street USA, or at a different location on Buena Vista Street. They give you a landyard with a special photopass+ card, and that's the card that you'll give to Photopass photographers or ride photo booth operators.

When we used it last year we were given a lanyard when we handed in our voucher at the camera shop - it had a card with a barcode. Then every time you get your picture taken, have the photographer scan your barcode and the pictures will go into your account. You can also have the barcode scanned at the ride pictures and those get added as well.

As an aside, we loved having PP+. When the photographers see you have it, they will often take multiple pictures for you. Also we enjoyed getting all the ride photos and making a collage (rather than having to buy one on the spot and hope it's the best we'll get).

When you get home, you can get online and mess with the pictures however you want. I recommend duplicating them and playing with them lots, because they will all be on your CD for no extra charge. For instance if you get a cute picture with Mickey you can save one as is, one with a border, one with Mickey's signature uploaded, one in black & white, one cropped, etc. Then you order the CD with the voucher code you received and when you get it you can decide what to print, etc.

Last thing - we used Shutterfly to make our books and they were MUCH cheaper than using Disney's site. You can even use your pictures to make the book's cover, etc., so it looks great. They always have coupons and deals.
