Just checked my photo's from Disney's photopass online. Wow, am I glad I took plenty of photos. I don't know how much training these people get, but a simple lesson in composition would be good. I had some great ones taken by the photographers on Main Street. The character ones however were not good. They managed to cut off feet, heads, and arms. They know that the photos can be cropped, so why don't they take a full length shot, get everything in, and let us crop them how we want? I do appreciate that these people are busy, but I was pretty disappointed. I'm also missing a few, I guess they didn't put them on the card properly. Anyway rant over.

My new photopass group had one with the top of my friend 's head lopped off.

When I got home from our Jan. trip and checked out our pics online, I noticed that there was another family included in our batch of photos!!! Wierd....

We just got back on the 24th. I checked my photos online and am missing several pictures. I have no Pooh & Friends pictures of my children. However, I have someone else's children in the photos. Also, Cinderella's head is caught off in all my shots. I am really disappointed. Unfortunately, I didn't get any shots of these characters and was counting on the Photo Pass ones. I agree that the character photographers need a little more training.

I was there last week and all my photopass pictures came out pretty well, actually, though I didn't really get any character ones taken, just park pictures on this trip.

If you have problems, report them on the photopass site. They aren't always timely or completely successful, but they do try.

I had more of a problem with the CMs not setting up the shots properly as opposed to chopping off arms and legs. Our pic with Figment was in the shadow of a tree so it didn't come out good at all (shouldn't they know that it wouldn't come out well there?) When we got our pics with Mike and Sully from Monster's Inc., they didn't even wait for us to be ready before they took the pic. It just seemed like they wanted to move the line along rather than take a good pic.

I am sorry some people have had problems with PhotoPass, but I guess I am lucky becuase all 45 of our pictures turned out beautiful. Perfectly centered, perfect lighting, perfect everything. Sorry about the bad luck. :confused3 I just wanted to post some positive remarks about PhotoPass. :wave2:

i always have them take it with my camera as well when they are doing photopass..my pictures usually turn out better even though they are taking it still

I do this as well. For a little while I was wondering if the PhotoPass photographers were told to purposely mess up people's pictures taken with their own cameras. That sounds harsh, but it would mean you would be more likely to buy their picture. Reason I thought this is because 5 or 6 of the PhotoPass people have "taken our picture" with the camera off. I handed it to them on and mysteriously I get it back turned off and with no picture. Also, some lady took the picture when the wind was blowing my hair across my face and she WOULD NOT retake it. I think its weird. Who knows.. maybe just bad luck? :confused3

Our pictures came out really well, with the exception of our picture in front of the castle. Actually, the picture of us turned out quite well, but you can't see the castle! It's just a close-up of the five of us. I am so disappointed, because we didn't take one with our own camera, so that's all we have. You would think that when the photographer asks if you want a picture in front of the castle, they would get the castle in the picture! :sad2:

We had one like that as well.

We were there at Christmas and with the exception of a few they were ok. We had a laptop with us (DH had to do some work) and checked them out each day. We did have a few of other families also.

They stated that the pictures would only be available for a month or two and then they would be deleted. Well I just placed my order a few weeks ago (after receiving a discount code) which was about 5 months after our trip. I just checked and they are still there.

They only make money if people like the pictures and buy them. It would make sense to train the CM to do it right. WHo's going to buy lousy pictures?

Lisa :)

Would it help if you use a digital camera, check the pic right there and if it is not good have them retake it immediately?

You know that's my thought too. I would have bought all of them if they had been any good. I think aswell it's a bit of a learning process for the photographers. They will get better with experience, but unless someone is telling them they are taking lousy pictures, they might think they are David Bailey or Annie Liebewiez (sp?) I hope someone is overseeing this aspect of of it all, otherwise this venture is not going to be successfull

Just back on Monday. We have a trip's worth of pictures on our card and most of them aren't us! I remember the other family. They were at the Tree of Life getting their picture taken right before us. The photog must have forgotten to give them their card and used it for us too & handed it to us.

Lesson - I will get a new card every day in case a photog accidentally does this to us next time.

By the way, the pictures of us were terrible. Two were out of focus and the character shots from Toontown have the character's heads half cutoff.

Wow, we must have lucked out bigtime with our Photopass photographers! We just got home this morning and I jumped right online to check out the pics. They all came out great! We did manage to have someone else's photos mixed in with ours. I remember the kids, they were in front of us at AK meeting Pooh and friends. I hope the family isn't too disappointed that they don't have those pics. :worried:
