We are traveling with my parents and my sister and BIL. Though all of us are staying at the GCH, we have booked under separate names. We all received separate PhotoPasses with our check-in/ticketing information.

Will we still be able to use the same account and share the disk? Is there a way to get another card attached our account so we don't have to be together for each time we want to use PhotoPass?

Also, does the photog just read the square code on the back of the card? I was thinking that if I used a lanyard with a clear window pouch I could just let him scan it from my lanyard instead of having to take it out every time. Am I crazy? Over thinking this too much? ;)

You can use multiple cards on one account. The account is created online, by you. So make sure that only ONE person in your group creates an account, and then make sure everyone either gives you their cards at the end of the vacation (so you can enter it onto your account), or make sure everyone has the account email and password so they can enter their card IDs into it.

YOu have to make sure no one creates their OWN account and that they don't enter a card ID into it, because that makes things very difficult (photopass CMs can and have put a card number onto a second account, but it's a bit of a pain to make it happen).

Photopass people generally want to have the card in hand...remember to put your name on it in sharpie so you know you've gotten your own card back. Also, have everyone either make a note of what the card ID numbers are (those are the numbers you'll be entering into your account online) and then put the note somewhere different from the card, OR take a digital picture of the back of the card. That way, if you lose your card, you won't lose the pix, b/c you'll still have the ID number!

Yes you can have multiple cards on one account.

Yes they can read thru the plastic cover on the lanyard. One time a photographer was having problems reading, and I offered to take it out. He said it was not the card in the lanyard, it was his reader (he ended up taking the reader cover off). I kept the parkhopper facing out on one side, and the photopass card facing the other side, so I did not have to take anything out.

Oh, one thing another DISer told me that I did not know before: if you get one of the photo packages (like when you go to GK or AG), you can add those photos to your Photopass account. There is a number on the side of the larger picture that can be added like another photopass card. Be aware, it can be difficult to read though.

Thank you DizNee Luver for telling me about this!

Yes, you can have as many cards as you like. No limit to how many you can get in the park or how many you can add to your online account.

Do make sure you put something on your card just in case it gets lost (even if you have it in a lanyard, it could fall out). Also I take a picture with me cell phone of the back of the card (or my dig. camera). If you do lose a card Disney can usually locate your pictures, but it doesn't hurt to be sure.

I think one of the only problems with the photos is you can have your photos loaded to the wrong card (family before you, etc.) or you can get someone else's photos on your card. In all the PP CD's I have done (and it's been thousands of pictures between DLR and WDW) I have only had a few other families on my account and only had a few pictures not be there. The missing photos were technical problems and were never located. (I have since then found out why my Rockin' Rollercoaster ones from WDW were missing).

If there are photos you really want to make sure are on your card, stop in at the PP stores in DCA or DLR to see them. Oh, and if you have several different groups within your own group don't have them put everyone else's photos on every's card(s). They can do this but if you will be putting all the cards on one account it just means you will have multiple copies of each picture in your account which will make doing your edits at home take more time (the more pictures in your account, the longer it takes)

Hi!

I am planning my first! and maybe my second trip to DL in the coming months.

If I plan a trip for the beginning of October and Middle of November can I combine my photopass pics to one CD to save $$$?

If I remember correctly I have 30 days from the date the first picture is taken to load it into my photopass account and then once I have it in there I have another 30 days to order the pictures?

This gives me a total of 60 days in which to have the pics taken and available for one CD?

Can anyone confirm my thoughts or am I completely wrong?

Thanks!

We had 30 days from the LAST photo taken before it expires. I activated the card before we left, and the photographers scanned it when taking pictures.

I would double check at the photo counter when you are there for your first trip. I hope you can get it all on one CD.

You are 100% right! You will have 30 days to upload your PP online. That's when your next 30 day window starts. So if you do it right you will have 60 days from the first date photo taken until you order your CD. I can't tell you how many times I have done this-it works (even combining DLR and WDW ones)

Also if you need a few more days you can buy 7 or 15 days. $4.95 or $9.95

You don't need to activate your card while there. Even if you view them while at the parks your 30 days won't start until you upload them.

If you combine Disneyworld and Disneyland photopass pictures which price will you pay?

I purchased my Disneyland cd while I was there. (I bought the gallery cd which came with a code for my photopass cd). Can I add the cards from my mom's trip to Disneyworld to my account and still get the cd "free".

I've never had to pay to extend the 30 day window.... :confused3 Last year I needed a couple more weeks & they gave me another month by just calling them.

We had a group of 10 this last trip & each adult had a photo pass card. On the last day....I took all the cards in & had them all added to my card.....it didn't take them very long to do so. We used just my card the rest of the evening. (do this before fireworks....afterwards it's just plain crazy in there!!)

As mentioned before, if you purchase a photo package at a character meal, they can add those on to your account as well. I probably could have done all of this from home....but found it much easier to have them take care of this for me.....so if there was a problem.....I was right there, talking with them in person.

(your welcome MulanFan!!):flower3:

We also got in on the Gallery CD deal (not sure how long they were running this??) We paid $59.95 for the CD with over 200 Professional pics on it.....inside is a coupon with a code to get your Disneyland PhotoPass CD for free. All I had to do was enter the code after I got home & was able to order the CD.

***SIDE NOTE: At the photo shops, they have a ton of borders & additions to add to your pictures......at home, it's a small, limited amount.....so if you're wanting lots of embellishments added to each photo & have some time (quite a bit of time)....then do that before you leave the parks. I'm sorry I didn't do that this trip......we had Jedi Academy pics & had only a couple choices at home to use......all but one said Star Wars Weekend-WDW.....I was bummed!
