PhotoPass+ Question

Hi! This is my first post on the boards. We are visiting Disneyland in June and over the next few days/weeks I have a few questions I want to ask here. Such wonderful advice here! We have been to WDW several times but have much less experience with DL.

Now for the question at hand. I purchased PhotoPass+ in advance. We will be arriving on June 7th but will not go to a park that day. Is there anywhere we can go that evening to exchange the voucher for our PhotoPass card(s)? It would be nice if we could take care of that that first night rather than having to do so when we get into the park on the 8th (don't want to waste valuable ride time!).

If we are not able to do this, can someone tell me where we turn in the voucher inside the parks on that first day?

Thanks for your help!

Sadly nope- you can do it at the photo shop on Main Street (at the end on the right) or DCA the first shop on the right

Don't waste valuable early morning time on waiting to exchange the voucher for the card.
If you go on a ride which has a photo, take a photo of the ride number and go back later in the day, once you have picked up your Photopass plus card.
If you get a photo taken in the park, just ask for a normal Photopass card from the photographer. You can add that card to your Photpass account later.

Thank you so much, that is exactly the kind of advice I need! I wouldn't have known that I could get the card later without missing out on any photo opportunities. So for ride photos, am I understanding correctly that I should go back to the ride? Thanks!

Yes, go back to the ride photo area once you have your lanyard, and give them both your lanyard and your ride photo number. They'll add it for you.

This cannot be done at the photo shops; you have to go back to each ride that took photos before you had obtained your lanyard. But you probably won't have more than a couple to catch up on at most since so few rides take pics. After that, it's smooth sailing. :)

Both camera stores (DL and DCA) are located in an area that is accessible before the park opens. Guests are typically allowed on MS in DL or BVS in DCA 30 minutes before the park opens. Line up early, and head straight to the camera shop and exchange your voucher before the park opens. That way you do not have to go back adding ride photos if you don't have to.

Photopass plus is SO worth it! I never do a trip without it now. As a mom, before I was hardly ever in the pictures...now, my kids know that mom actually went on vacation with them lol ;)

Now the question is: Once we are home, how do you get the photos downloaded.... I have to pay again?

There is a web-site in the PP+ package. Once you are home, go to the site, enter in your access code (comes with the package) and you then have 30 days from then to edit, save, and then download them. There are no additional hidden fees, unless you want a CD copy of your pictures. The download is easy, and you get several ZIP files with all your photos in them.

If you have not pre-ordered your PP+ you can get it at the park. $99.95 at the park and $69.95 pre ordered (14 days in advance). Did this last trip, and very happy with the results and the photos... and as CateinPhoenix says, you are finally in all the photo's.

I have read several times on here it will take less than a minute to get the PP+ lanyard. My guess it will take more time to get the lanyard and go back to the rides and add the photos. I may be wrong.

Thank you all very much for the photopass+ information. We are taking our first trip to Disneyland in June, and because off all the valuable information on this thread I just ordered the photopass+. I hope to get on Main Street early to activate my pass first thing.

Does someone have the link to the preorder for Photopass Plus?

How far in advance can you buy photo pass plus? We are not going until December but since we are trying to pay for everything in cash ahead of time I wanted to go ahead and buy this before the money escapes me. :)

thanks in advance. You ladies sold me. I think with a 5 day trip we could get some good shots. :)

I had quite a line once. It probably took 20 minutes or so. Not a super long time, but it wasn't simply in and out because there were a lot of people in line who all had significant time to do whatever their transactions were.

Just fyi.

Well that is a bummer. I was hoping it would be a quick process. Thanks for letting me know so I can plan accordingly as well:)

Just to clarify, if you've purchased the Photopass+, you can get either the download or the CD at no further cost.
