We are a group of 9, but are two families staying on site. We are officially a grand gathering. Is there any way for us to share one photopass or is it mandatory to each have our own? We would love to be able to split the cost on this one.

Thanks!

It's fine to share one photopass. You can enter the codes from all photopasses on the website to create one CD. That's what you're talking about, right?

That's great! How does it work in reality? The last time we were at Disney, they snapped some pictures of us and told us to go to a photocenter to pick them up if we wanted and we just never did. How does the photopass work? They take pictures of you all week at various places and then at the end of the week we go online somewhere and enter a code to make a cd? Thanks for any information.

The best thing about the improvments to Photopass is that you can do them when you get home.

So you have 9 people but could end up with many Photopass cards(waterparks give you a new one rather then scanning your old one most of the time) .Just get your Pics taken at different places through out your stay. Write down and store all the numbers on all the cards incase they get misplaced. The number not the card it'sself is the important thing..

Then when you get home creat an account on the Photopass sight (it's on the cards) and enter all the cards. Give your family members the Username and password so they can add thiers. Then you have 30 days to view and make Edits (crops and boarders).

Then when everyone is satisfied with what they have done some one ordrs the CD and when it arrives makes a copy to give to the others. It also has a release as a jpg. that can be printed so you can get the pictures printed where ever you want.

Make sure that all the adults in your party have their own PhotoPass card. This way, when your group slits up, everyone can still get pics taken, and when you are together, make sure that at least two cards are swiped; this redundancy helps to reduce the possibility of your pics getting lost in the PhotoPass system.

And don't be shy about giving PhotoPass cards to the kids, too; just be sure to write down the number from each card in case they get lost. If they do get lost, just get a new one from the next PP photographer you meet.

At the end of the trip, collect all the PhotoPass cards and enter them all into a single account. A PhotoPass account can have hundreds of cards entered into it. But a PhotoPass card can only be entered into ONE account, so if Aunt Ida enters her card into another account, there is no way you can enter it into the group account.

Once all the cards are entered, share the user name and password of the account with everyone else, and let them all view the pics and make copies with borders and graphic enhancements.

When all the enhancements are done, you can order the PhotoPass CD. The CD will contain all of the pics in the account, including the originals and the copies with borders and graphics added. If the whole account doesn't fit on one disk, it will be spanned accross multiple disks with no extra charge.

If any of you have a laptop with you at WDW, you can enter your cards into the account while you are there and view them each night when you get back to your room; this is great, because then you can have any that you don't like re-shot before you go home!

Just remember - a PhotoPass card can only be entered into ONE account! So if Uncle Joe goes back to his room and enters his card into his account, you will not be able to add his card to the group account, and it will not be on the CD that you order from the group account.

And a CD can only have ONE account on it, so you will not be able to get Uncle Joe's account added to your CD. Once a card is entered into an account, it can't be moved to another account, ir can't be removed from the account, it can't be merged into another account. If Uncle Joe enters his card into his own account, then Uncle Joe's pics will not be in the group account, no matter what.

Likewise, once you enter a card into the group account, you won't be able to add the card to any other accounts; so if you add Aunt Ida's card into the group account, then Aunt Ida tries to add the card to her own account later, she will be told that "This card has already been added to an account" and won't be able to add it to her account. This is why you need to share the user name and password of the group account with everybody - then everybody will be able to view the pics and add borders and graphics to them.

That is fantastic information. I think for the first time I actually understand what photopass is all about. We are leaving in 19 days and I can't wait! We are bringing a lap top so we will be able to check out the photos each night from the hotel.

If you like only a few pictures, can you buy only a few prints or do you have to buy a cd of digital photos? I am hoping to get the whole CD, but you never know what could happen. My 4 year old has a tendancy to cry for pictures.

Thanks!

You can order individual prints just like yu would at the park or you can order the cd of all the pictures and they will send you a release so you can print them anywhere. I think they have a pre-pay offer right now that saves you $20 if you buy the cd before your trip. You purchase it now, then when you get back from your trip you enter all the numbers from your cards, edit your pictures if you want, and then they send you your cd. The cd with pre-pay offer is $99. I'm not sure what the website address is to do this. I saw it on another post on onew of these boards.

I wish:genie: they would add this to the pictures they take of you when you are riding rides-(TOT, SM etc.) We hate to have to stop and wait in line to buy the picture when we want to be going on through the parks.

Some of those are really funny pictures but to have to hold up the group for printing is a pain.

They are adding ride photos to PhotoPass, but not until spring of 2008.

The rumor is that Disney has a contract with Kodak to provide the current ride photo equipment and supplies, and that they can't switch over to the PhotoPass system until the contract expires, which will be sometime in early 2008.

Until then, PhotoPass is only available on Test Track.

Wow Sunshein, looks like there are no reasons not to be a photo opportunity feen when we get there, now that's really exciting, finally some family photos!, Liz:banana: :cheer2:
