Howdy all,

Would anyone be able to tell me in what resolution the Photopass pictures are taken?

Just for comparison's sake, my Sony 5 Megapixel camera takes pictures that are 2600 x 1950 pixels and are about 1.8MB in size.

I just wondered how the Disney photographers compare.

Thanks in advance.

Mike in the Maritimes.

Looking through the pictures in the photography section, I found a pic someone took of the Disney Photographers... in that, they mention that the Disney Photographers use a Canon G5 digital camera... a 5MP camera pretty much on par with what was mentioned above.

If anyone is interested.

You can always go to www.disneyphotopass.com

They may have some info. listed there.

Personally, I would take most of my own pictures. The cheapest one that you can by from Photopass is a 5x7 for $12.95. The 8x10 is $16.95, Four wallets are $12.95, and a 5x7 and 4 wallets is $19.95.

Hi!

We used Photopass this past March and were pleased with what we got. We bought the CD with all the pictures on it for $99.95 at the end of our trip and had over 100 pictures on it. With the CD is a release allowing you to print the pictures from the CD anywhere. That has saved us so much money and I am in most of our pictures! :thumbsup2 I put little albums together for my 4 boys and got about 300 pictures printed for a teeny portion of what it would have cost if I hadn't got the CD.

And the pictures turned out great, too!

From what I understand of Photopass, there is nothing to lose by getting these guys to take as many pictures as they can. You can review them online and if there are some real winners, it may be worth it to buy the CD. I can get prints made at home here for about $.20/pic so the CD would almost seem the way to go if you have more than a few good pics.

Unless they have changed over the last several months (we were there in Oct. 05) my husband who is into photograpy checked out their cameras and say that they were Nikon D70, SB800 Flash w/ diffuser and the 18/70mm DX series lens, lens hood and external battery packs etc. The D70 is a 6.1 Megapixel camera. The Canon G5 is a point and shoot that is discontinued and replaced by the G6. Hope this helps :)

Can someone explain how photopass works? How do they get 100 pictures of a family? :confused3 They can't be following us around like a private photographer right? I am so confused, Please help, if I can be helped?? :rotfl:
TIA

There are photopass photographers as you enter each park and at other photospots throughout the parks

especially with characters - rumor has it pretty soon - they will be at all the character meals and in the resorts and they will be able to add ride photos onto your photopass!

When you first get your picture taken they will give you a card - each time you get your picture taken after that - hand them your card and they will add the photos onto that card - putting all of your pictures in one place - then you can go view them and print them or have them put onto one CD - my friend and I went for 4 days and got over 100 pictures - it is pretty easy to do! We let every photographer we saw take our picture!

Also, keep in mind that each photographer takes several shots of the same pose so when I had a total of 58 photos on our last trip it was really only about 14 different locations/shots.

The actual resolution on my pics from the CD is 3008x2000, the only one that was a little odd was one that I had taken at AK holding an animated Simba, it was 1720x2580. I had two others taken by the same photographer, that were the 3008x2000.

The Cm's are pretty easy to find, and they are everywhere... I also will let them take every picture they want, I will then buy the cd... last time I was there, they did not have the option to buy the cd... but now that they do, I can't wait to STRIKE a pose ha!
