i am in the final planning stages as this time in 2 weeks we will be there!!! :cool1:
we always get the photo pass as i love getting piccies of us altogether, i never knew that you could pre purchase so we have always just had as many photos done as poss and then buy the cd on our last day. How does it work with pre purchasing? do i pay for it now and then order the cd online when i get home or can i pay for it now and then collect the cd before coming home? if i order online do i have to pay delivery etc and does it take ages for the cd to arrive?

We pre-ordered ours last time we went and in our experience the whole thing was exactly the same - apart from the price :goodvibes
We got 3 photopass cards between us as we planned to split up when in the parks, got lots of photos taken and then played with them when we got home.
As I remember when we went to the checkout on the website it gave us the opportunity to put a code in that was issued when we pre-paid.
It's always worth remembering that your 30 day countdown - by that I mean the time that the photos remain on the website - begins from when you first log on and input the numbers on your photopass card. For thatreason we always wait until we get back home so we have maximum amount of time to play with the borders etc.

To me, it was worth pre-purchasing last year

First of all, we definitley put more effort into looking out for the photographers so we had loads of photos on our CDs

You can't beat the online offer. There are no discounts, at least not to date, which come close to rivalling the pre purchase offer.

If you really don't like the photos, you can email them BEFORE you put the CD in your basket after your trip and ask for a refund.

When you pre purchase on the site, you will be given Photopass CD credit in your account.

You can collect it there, but you won't have the option of adding the borders which kind of defeats the purpose to me.

Shipping was $10.95 to the UK and I had 5 discs, so it seemed to be a flat rate regardless of how many CD's your pics were on.

It is no different to purchasing the CD normally, just when you get to check out it will deduct the cost and only add the shipping, which is all you pay.

Never knew you could buy it there, I thought it was an online thing. http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y236/wayneg1/August 2010/?start=all

I only know because I was chatting to one of the CM's at the Photocenter a few years ago and asked. I then found it somewhere on their website. Not sure why anyone would want to do that, but I suppose if you wanted your CD and didn't care about the borders it would be a fair option to have. I don't see how they can do that with a pre-purchase though. :confused3

so if i pre purchase it before i go, i then get a card when we get there, get loads of photos, then when i get home i go on the site and add borders etc and then add the cd to my basket and then checkout and just pay about 10 dollars delivery (as i have already paid for the cd before i go)? But if i am not too fused about the borders then i can collect the cd before we leave on the last day? how long does it take for the cd to arrive after ordering online? sorry for all the q's but we have always just brought the cd before leaving the park on our last day as i thought this was the only way it could be done!!! but as the pre pay is cheaper and you get to play with the borders etc it seems the best way

That seems to sum it up. Most people receive in about a week from ordering, I did last year but the year before it took about 3 weeks, had to email them and ask where it was, I think its unusual to take so long.

great thanks, def think we will pre order it, i normally get 3 pics when we buy the cd and there the only ones we get with borders so it will be nice to have a play and edit them myself when we get home. :thumbsup2

We've done it twice and I think it is good value to pre pay for a 14/21 day holiday. US visitors pay the same for their short trips.

If you tell the photographers you have pre paid we found they took more photos.

we want to pre-order ours this time (will be the first time we have done it this way) as it looks such good value. I'll try to remember to let the photographers know we've pre-paid if it means more photos.

Can someone give the right address of the site to use please?

We pre ordered the photo pass but when we got home the photos were of a poor quality, so we requested a refund which they did,so it's worth knowing you can get. Your money back

I wonder how many people do this. Was it the actual image quality or just badly taken pics (we have had the odd instances of both)? When you view your photos once you have added them to your account they aren't very clear and the only way I was able to get a good idea of the quality was to zoom and crop on any I was unsure of, and just not save the cropped version, to allow a close up for checking clarity. I think they have done this to deter people from snagging pics off the site without purchasing. I must say though, the actual prints and the images once viewed properly on the full screen from the CD are great, but honestly, you wouldn't say so viewing them on the PP account. It would be a good incentive for people to pre purchase if we were able to view a slightly better quality image though.

Just prepaid for August with the exchange rate at $1.64 I decided to buy sooner rather than later. £60.95 + postage.:thumbsup2

I wasn't actually thinking of that. Going to do mine now.
Thanks Wayne :)

just ordered mine for August too - thank you for the information, that's another thing to tick off my list.

We have pre-ordered the cd the last 2 trips and again for this one.

I think we collected about 10 photopass cards as kids wanted their own wrist cards at the waterparks and SIL who arrived just after us did a photopass share :)
