I will be going in January and have never done the PP thing....we are booked for CRT and I know they take photos there, but don't you have to pay for any prints that you get?

At each character do they have a photopass person or is that just in certain spots?

I want to make sure that any pictures I get will be on there, which will take some of the pressure off of me to get a shot.

As for the ride photos how does that work? Do you give them your PP card at the kiosk where your photo is displayed after a ride?

Thanks in advance!

In the case of CRT the picture pkg. is included in price of meal. Ride photos you would note photo number and go to photo claim counter and tell them photo number and they will scan your photopass plus card placing a digital file on your caRD which you can print out once you receive CD you order from photopass site containing all your photos. A fair number of characters have PP person but not all.

I thought the ride photos only came with PhotoPass+. Can you get them on the regular PP without paying extra?

And regarding the PP+ ... I saw that you can put tableside dining photos onto that card but do you still have to pay add'l for those or do they just go on the acct like every other pic?

The OP was asking about photopass plus but you are correct you only get ride photos with plus or by buying them individualy( I think they are 15-20 dollars) . Certain dining experiences are also included with plus. For those they will add the photos to your account but you also get the printed pictures.

If u and DH r on 2 diff rides that both take pictures, how do u get both added to your PP+ card?

You can go back to the ride later to have the pp+ scanned just be sure to remember your picture number...

Oops, you're right! Guess I should've been sleeping instead of posting. :faint:

I don't think our Ohana dinner comes with any photos but I saw that you can get a tableside photo taken. Do you have to pay extra for that even with the PP+ or can you just have it put on?

If the restaurant is not part of the FP plus plan then it would be extra.

Question about the dining photos at Akershus, Tusker House, etc ... What exactly do they entail? How different are they from the snapshots you would take with your own camera? Are they just the photos of your child with each character like any other PP character pic in the park? I'm trying to decide whether the PP+ is worthwhile and the dining pics are going to be a key part of the decision. If those aren't worth it, then I'm thinking maybe the Photobook would be the better and cheaper way to go for us.

They are typically just one or two shots of either your child or your entire family with the feature character. For example, at Akershus, that would be Belle. At Tusker House, it would be Donald.

In that case, I'm not so sure that's a great value. I like the PhotoPass shots and having a backup, but for the price, I can certainly take my own pics at the restaurants. I will be anyway b/c I'll be snapping all the characters rather than just the featured one. As for the ride photos - those would be cool but not "necessary." I've only ever bought one ride photo at an amusement park, and it wasn't even Disney. I would see that as just an added bonus. This last trip, we paid $80 plus shipping for the photo book, which is nice because it has the licensed Disney characters in it. It is, however, grossly over-priced compared to Shutterfly etc. On the other hand, I'm not sure paying $120 (or even $60 if I split the PP with my friend) for just a disc full of pics is a better idea. This is a really tough call.

I know that you only get 14 days of photos with PP+, but does anyone know what the limitation is on the PP? Can you add PP card numbers anytime within the 30-day window that the pics are live in the website?

Anyone want to share their thoughts or justifications for what they chose to do?

At Akershus we got a 5x7 in a "frame" (cardboard folder type with a pretty cover) and several wallets. At Tusker, same thing but we also got a 5x7 stock photo of some sort.

We just returned from WDW on 8/24. We preordered the photopass+. We ended up with over 400 pics on the + card(bf i edit them) We had dinner at Chef Mickeys. We presented the PP photographer our +card and then had dinner. During the dinner when they come around with the picture, the cast member started to explain the cost of the pics. I pulled out the +card and she quickly gave us the pics.

BTW-- we arrived shortly bf our ADR at chef mickey's. We took the bus from SSR to MK. DH headed to Chef mickey (we were running 40 mins late). I ran into the MK and turned in our voucher for the +card. Then ran over to Chef Mickey. DH was explaining to the Cast member at the check in desk what I was doing. She said they just started carrying a supply of the +card at the desk of chef mickey. Not sure if this is something they will continue or not.

We had over 20 ride photos added too. Just showed them the card and they put the pics on. For rides that we were riding multiple times we waited till the end of riding and turned in all the ride numbers. At Rockin' roller coaster the cast member edited our pic to eliminate another rider. both the reg pic and the edited pic was on the + card. I asked at Tower of Terror if they could also edit it and they were adament that it would not save it. They said to edit it at home. We didn't know till we uploaded everything that the edited pic was also saved as the reg pic. There is no way of editing the pic at home to get just the people you want but still keep the logo on the picture. When we purchased the pic last year the edited it and had just us plus the ride logo on the pic.

one thing we learned was if a ride pic does not come our right PP will give you a slip so you can reride the ride again (treated like a FP). I took DS5 on Splash mountain for the first time for all of us. We were seated in the 2nd row and his face was hidden by the rider in the front row. (missed that first expression:() When we were ready to board for our 2nd ride. I mentioned it to the cast member and she said to always seat in the 1st row and told me about getting the reride ticket from PP. For the next 2 rides I requested the front row and had no problem getting it. We may have had to wait a few extra minutes to load but it worked out great.

We did tons of character meet and greets. There always seemed to the a PP photographer with the meet and greet. We also kept an eye out for them too.

We did have a bunch of missing pics of the phineas and ferb meet and greet once we entered the card at home. I emailed PP and by the next day the pics where in my account. DD9 wore a Candice Tshirt that said "brother for sale ". the reaction from Phineas and ferb were priceless!! Soo happy they found them.

We do have a magic shot that is missing the magic but not a big deal.

We were very pleased with the + card. We have always done just the reg card for all of our trips. I really wanted the stock photo CD that came with it. I Shutterfly all of our trips and the Stock CD will be awesome to add into our trip books.

Not sure if we will do it again next year. But glad we did it this year.

Thanks for the great info!

My middle guy is now 12 and tall enough for all the rides so knowing I can get all those pics is awesome!

Does anyone know if the photo sessions at the resort are included on this? Do they even do that anymore?

I booked the BBB for DD who is going on 6 by the time of the trip and am excited to get all those pics too!

I plan to preorder and hopefully get a discount....do they mail you a card or do you get it upon checkin?

thanks again!

You will get a package in the mail with:
1- the cd of stock photos
2- a certificate with a code to enter for your free cd when you come back and edit your PP photos
3- a voucher that you'll take to WDW and turn in for your PP+ card.

That's why you have to order at least 14 days before your trip, so they have time to send it to you before you leave. You need to take that voucher with you.

Resort photo sessions are not included in PP+.
