I recently read that you could pay a tableside photo purchase to have pictures taken at certain restaurants added to your photopass account. Does anyone know the cost of this service?

At Chef Mickey's as well as Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House and also at 1900 Park Fare, when you arrive you take a picture with a setting themed to the restaurant. You then are given the opportunity to purchase a photo package ($30+) for an 8x10 and I believe 4 4x6. On the back of the pictures is a code that you can use to add your picture to your Photopass account. You can not get the code if you do not purchase the package.

I dont think 1900 park fare is included in that.

You have to buy the photo in order to get it on your photopass.

As the PP said - you buy the photo package and then you can add it to your PP account online at the following places that I can think of:

Chef Mickey's
Tusker House
1900 Park Fare (although last time we were there for b-fast they did not have a PP person there)
Spirit of Aloha
Hoop Dee Doo Revue
'Ohana

At CRT and Akershaus, the photos are free because they are included in the price you pay for the meal.

I don't recall ever hearing or seeing about PP packages at Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, or Cape May (all of which are other character dining places).

You're not paying for the PP service, but paying to purchase the prints of the photos and in addition to that, you get the code to add them to your PP account. I seem to recall that the photo packages were ~$20-25 but I can't really remember.

So, would they take this same picture of us with my camera or would I have to buy their package? It doesn't seem important to add to your PP if you are already buying the prints.

adding it to photopass you can add stuff like borders, the years-- maigcal stuff like that

You also get extra photos often with the PP card # that aren't in the prints - we had a few from CRT that were cute that weren't included in the prints. And additionally you can add the borders & autographs, etc. as serene said.

I have heard mixed answers as to whether they will take a photo with your camera at the dining locations. Seems like some photographers might and some refuse.
