Photopass CD Question

Hello there,

We were at DLR last week and had our pictures taken multiple times by the PP photogs. (So cool....had never done it before).

So, I've added the borders and signatures and want to order a CD so that I can use the pictures and make my own digital book. It says that the CD is 59.95. Does anyone know a promotional code, or a way to get it cheaper? Any other tips before I order it?

That is THE cheapest. It's a good thing. Last year this time it was 79.95, and before that 124.95!

Oh, and you're so lucky you had many pix taken! Our trip was so crazy we only had pictures taken twice, and so now I have figure out what to do with those two pictures, LOL.

And I was totally stupid, and added the card to my account without looking into any shares going on that I could join! Sigh.


For your WDW trip, there are links on the budget and theme park board to pre-order the WDW photopass CD for 99, or you can join a photopass share with others to bring the price down even lower.

Thanks. We had over 60 pictures taken. The bummer thing is that we had some really cute shots in front of the Christmas tree taken....really the only ones that my husband was in with us, since he was at work most of the time. Well, those pictures didn't show up, but we do have a few pictures of other people. So, I guess the guy scanned the wrong code onto our card. Bummer.

Guess I will order it for that price. Is it that more expensive for WDW?? It will be more that the 59.95?

And funny thing....we are in Tacoma, too! Brown's Point area.

Contact photopass about your missing pictures! Describe the day, the time, what you were wearing, etc. They might very well be able to find them. Do this before you order the CD, of course.

Just go to their help section and find the appropriate links for contacting them. It'll take a couple days, and you might have to "back and forth" with them a couple times (oh, also include your photopass account's email address and your name...even though you would THINK that comes through to them, it doesn't seem to), but if they are there to be found, they'll find 'em.

At WDW it's 124.95, yeppers. There's a link to pre-order for about 99. Crazy!

But the important thing to remember is that you're not just buying a CD, or some prints. You're buying the rights to print those pictures forever, and that is a very big deal. Not all photographers give that option! And if you just buy a 12.95 5x7 print, you don't get that permission, you only get that ONE print ever. (though I guess they have a new digital copy that gives you permission too, per picture, which we might have to do for our two, LOL, pictures from this trip)

Dh and I are going this week and are thinking about the CD...even though it's just the two of us and we might not have time for pics. I hope we do though. I think she has only really seen the movie once or twice. She doesn't think about it much. When I describe where she goes to school to people, I always ask if they've seen the movie.

Update - I am SO excited! Got an email today that they FOUND all of my missing pictures and added them to my account! I am so happy. The picture of our whole family in front of the tree is so good, too. Happy Dance here! And so glad I waited to order the CD!!!!

Yay!!!! That is so great! I haven't yet had any errors with PhotoPass but I can see how easily it could happen (in a moment of confusion, the pictures don't get scanned, or technology fails), but I have lost other pictures before due to 1-hour photo shops that misplaced the pictures (forever), or a roll of film that fell out of a bag, and I know that sinking feeling that comes with realizing that some really great pictures are lost for all eternity! What a relief for you to get yours 'back,' essentially!!!!
