I'm back from my trip and am getting ready to order the photopass CD. For those of you who have ordered one since they increased the price and added borders, here's a question. Do I need to do my edits and add borders, etc before ordering the CD or is there software with the CD for me to do that once it comes?

My understanding is you need to do the edits before ordering the CD.

Before - then you save it as a new image and end up increasing your picture quantity.

You have 30 days after you enter the PP#'s into the system to purchase them.

Yes and you can save more then one enhancement for each photo if you like.

You can have the original ,one with boarder, one cropped, and one cropped with boarder and so on.

But all this has to be done before ordering the CD.

As everyone said, all before, save multiple images. It took me for-ev-er to do this as their system is so slow, but it was worth it in the end. Also, for what it is worth, I ended up with around 570 pictures, so I got 2 CDs to complete my order (300-ish on each).

I just ordered mine and I also believe you have to do it all before. Like everyone said, you can make multiple photos of the same picture by cropping and adding borders and then saving.

I have two questions...

#1 - Can you still buy the CDs in the park?

#2 - Is there a limit to how many pictures/images can be on the disks?

Thanks in advance. I bought one the last time we were there (March '06), but I think some things have changed since then.

You can buy them in the park but they tell you to order at home so you can add borders & such. I don't know about the limit.

There is no software on the CDs, just the pics - so if you want to add borders and crop the pics, etc, you have to do it before you get them burned onto CD.

we were told 1000 photo limit.
The guy we talked to had one couple come in (over the holidays) with 995!!

MYDOGISBO--Did you have to pay for two separate CD's, or was it the $125 price for 1 CD? I am editing Photopass pics now and I know I'm going to be dangerously close to the cut-off for what the CD can hold once I start saving multiple copies of things. TIA! Melinda

Just the $125--I think it says on the site that the $125 is for all of your photos. & I wondered too, but you just pay the $125 & then they put it on however many CDs it takes to get all of your images.

That is so neat that you can now do borders and stuff. When I ordered mine in September you couldn't do that yet. Hopefully there will be even more stuff you can do by the time I finally get to go back.

Are the borders offered online the same ones as those at the park? I am interested in doing pics holding Tinkerbell, etc. Do I have to get them to put these things on while I am at the park? If the online borders are different from those at the park, which borders are better?

the photos of guests holding tink or baby simba at DAK or stitch at MGM is handled automatically by photopass. it's a matter of the photopass photographer having the guests pose properly for it. so if you want it, just ask.

i don't know if the borders are the same online. most everything is available online though, but your options are controlled by the content of the photo (no putting mickey's auto on goofy).

we added all the borders and fixed all the pic we wanted and tried to buy it at DD and were told that after you add stuff to it goes to a different system and you had to order it online you could not buy it at the park

Thanks so much for clarifying that! :cool1: Now I dont have to worry about making different versions of pictures. We had 4 girls at BBB, so in some shots it shows more than one girl and I've found that I can zoom in on the one in the background and crop the rest and it makes for a completely different-looking image. Thanks for the info! :hippie:
