Photopass CD for $99

HLAuburn: You are correct. The first photographer to take your picture will give you a card. From then on, you give that card to each photographer you use, and they scan it. The photographers I saw at MK were on Mainstreet USA, near TownHall, and on the bridge heading into Tomorrowland. There are probably more, but I didn't see them. In AK, in front of the tree of life. At MGM, on the mainstreet leading up to the hat, in front of Tower of Terror, and in front of Rockin Rollercoaster. In Epcot, behind spaceship earth and on the bridge going into world showcase. There are probably others but these are the ones we spotted. They are easy to find and it didn't take long.

Thanks! One more quick question: you were actually able to view all your PhotoPass pics at the GF gift shop? That's also where you bought the CD, right? Do you happen to know if all the gift stores have a place where you can buy/view Photopass pics? I'm definitely going to try to take as many PhotoPass shots as possible and get the CD...sounds like a great deal - thanks for the tip! :flower:

Well this makes me sick to learn you can't get it after you get home! I inquired about this CD at the Camera/Photo pick up at the Emporium in MK and no one knew anything about it! I had heard about it before our trip in late December. They even asked others and they said no such thing! Where were you able to get your CD?

They started this Dec., 23rd and at the time, and as of the Monday after Christmas (when I purchased mine) they were only burning the cd's at the Epcot Camera shop. Not sure if other places have started it, when I called the other day about a few pics missing off the cd, I was transferred to Epcot. We knew about it before many of the cast members did (as is the case a lot it seems). So that may be why you're not getting the right answers. We hit up every photopass person we could find and came home with 131 pics on our cd! Many are dupicate shots, but they are great none the less. Take advantage, it's a great idea!

I want to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that EPOCT and the Grand Flo are the only places to purchase the CD. I bought one on the 28th with our 97 photo pass pictures on it. EPOCT was able to show me all the pictures I know MGM and the MK could not.
We had already decided to take all the pictures and then pick the best - when the photo with Belle in France mentioned the CD I was so excited. The $99 was well spent. It does not include ride photos or princess meal photos. It does include a copyright release allowing you to have printed for persal use all the photos you want (they can not be used ofr commercial purposes).

for the information - wish this was available when we were at Disney the week following Thanksgiving - can't wait to go back.

Hanover: what kind of camera is it that you and the cast members use?

Happy New Year to everyone.

This sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I only had 28 photos on my photo pass card. From home I ordered 5 - 5x7's and 2 - 5x7's with 4 wallets. It came to $104 before the 30% discount.

On my next trip I'll be sure to use the photo pass photographers more often!

It still wasn't mentioned if you get the extra borders, special effects that you can do online with the CD. I would love to be able to add them to the pictures.

I assume it does include the ones they do in the park, like tinkerbell on your hand.

this is such a fantastic deal when you think about how much you pay for 1 photo, however i can imagine myself getting loads of photos just for the hell of it :rotfl:

HLAuburn: Yes, I viewed all my PhotoPass pics at the GF gift shop and bought the CD there. As of right now, the GF is the only resort gift shop where you can view/buy the CD. I was at Epcot at the time that the photographer told me about the CD and he said to go to the Epcot camera center or GF to get the CD. I guess I presumed that I could get the CD at the other parks as well, but it sounds like only the Epcot camera center does it, besides the GF.

still waiting on an answer for this one too?? :confused3

Wow! I have no idea how you all get so many photo's!! My family must be really un-photogenic or something. We never see very many photopass people, and if we do we do actually have to stop them to get our photo taken. I can't imagine we have ever had more than about 7 photos per trip taken by Photopass.

I'm so glad they're doing this now! I would love to see them have a cheaper option if you just wanted a few pictures, though! If you get a lot of pictures, $99 is a great deal, though! I can see myself running around getting pictures in every spot possible to make it worth it :)

Bumping for the answer to this one still.

This is great. I definately will take advantage of this on our next trip this coming April. Thanks for the info.

Do the "special effects" Photopass pics cost more? Like if they add Tink into your pic like she's in your hand, is a 5X7 of that more expensive than a "regular" picture? If they're the same price, I would imagine that ALL your photopass pics would be on the disc. It would take more time and effort for them to sort out the ones w/ the editting than to just put all your Photopass pics on the CD. Just my thought....

I'd like to know for sure, too.

Skiingwife: did you happen to have any of the pics where the characters are added to your pics?

Yes, I have some pictures with the characters that were added to the photo. Those are the same price if you have them developed by Disney. They are also included in the CD for the $99.

I brought up my photopass CD to see if there were options for adding borders. All I have are the image files of the photos. No options for borders or anything else.

Where can you get the cds from? I've never had it offered to me.
Thanks!

Apparently this is a new thing, like it just started being offered within the last month. So far, the reports are that you can get them at the GF gift shop and the Epcot photo center only.

Sounds like a good idea, wish they had that last December, will have to look into it on my next trip.
