Photopass Cards Only in Park?

Are the photopass cards also available in Downtown Disney or the Disney resorts? I was hoping to get right to the MM rides and would like to have the photopass card in hand when I go through the gates. If not, is there usually a long line to get a photpass card? How long does this take?

They are only in the parks. But it's NOT a big deal at all. You get cards from the photographers, they have pouches full of them. Go to the first photog you wish to have a picture taken by, have pictures taken, they'll get a card out and scan it to connect those pictures with your card number, hand you the card, and you move on. EASY.

Bumber got it perfect There's hardly ever much of a long line for most of the photographers. The only one I've had to wait for was with Ariel. You just walk up, ask to have your photo taken, and then at the end tell them you want to start a photopass
