PhotoPass and AP question

I'm buying a signature AP this summer that includes free PP downloads. What is the difference between this and PP+, if anything? We always buy PP+ when we go to the parks, and know what that includes, but I'm wondering if there is a difference with the PP downloads that come with the signature AP.

Well, for one thing your photos are now accessible for 365 days with the option to download. Although it hasn't come up yet, but I suspect if you don't renew anything that's over the standard 45 days probably won't be downloadable.

The way it works now is you get the PP on your AP scanned (or enter PP number into your account) and the pics are available for download. You can also enter codes from ride photos and those are available for download too. Without a Signature AP or above your pictures are watermarked and disappear after 45 days if you don't purchase them. They stopped offering borders. You have to buy prints in the parks to get borders now. Prints are not included and CDs are no longer sold at all. It's all downloads now. One addition is that now you have the option of managing everything in the app, so you can see pics while you're still in the park. I've entered ride photo codes and had the pic in my app within minutes.

It's pretty much the same thing as the daily Photopass you can purchase now.

Dining photos as well as ride photos (mentioned above) are included in addition to the regular Photopass locations inside the parks.

Also new is that they're starting to include runDisney photos in Photopass (paid for individually or a part of the ones included with an annual pass that has it as a perk). Only really matters for runners, but it's a new thing that just started and I'm hoping it stays.

The only other difference I know of is that you do not get the printed character meal photo package. You do get the digital copy without purchasing it though. Just ask the PP photographer for the photo #'s.

That's good to know since we almost always do Ariel's and one other character meal.
