I've been reading about photopass, and it sounds kinda neat. We've never bothered with buying the professional photos before...

Question, though... We wouldn't need all the editing options, so we would just buy it in the park for the $59 if we get it. Once we buy it though, do we still come home and log in to the photopass website to use the features there? Or can we just use the CD at home on our computer(and for developing etc)?

I guess what I'm wondering is what the website is for? Just for ordering when you get home (and all the other cutesie stuff)? I read through some old posts about photopass, and someone was saying some of their pictures were missing. Others suggested to keep checking the website to see if they show up in the account. Would that only be if you pre-pay? Or is that for any of the photopasses(even the cheaper one)? Should I register before we go, or when we return?

I guess I'm quite confused, hey? Feel free to direct me to websites to read for myself. I went to the photopass site, and it didn't seem to answer those questions...

Also, does anyone know if the Photopass CD is Mac compatible?

THANKS!

We bought the CD at the park and have just been using it. I haven't had to log in to the website at all. I previewed the pictures on our photo pass card number at the park before I bought the CD. I suppose I probably should have previewed them online beforehand so that I could have made sure we had gotten all the pictures I wanted, but I wasn't that organized!

Oh, and yes, the CD is Mac compatible.

Hey I was just coming to ask about the Photopass at DLR.. I had read somewhere that you can pre-order your CD before you go at a discount for $99.?? and you get all the personalized things on the CD or something like that. I am guessing it allows you to add year and all those special things onto the photos!! My question is how does the pre-ordering work? Do they mail you the CD or what?

I know you can get it while you are in the park also for around $60.00 but you don't get the added options. We are going as a group of ten and figured we would split the cost and share the CD

If you pre-order your CD, you are emailed a code only to begin with. Once you are at the parks, you get a PhotoPass card the first time you have your pic taken by one of their photographers. Each time you have your pic taken by a PhotoPass photog. you give them the card os they can add your pics.

Once you get home, access the web to view/edit/crop/add to your photos as desired, then order your CD. Input the code you received by email when you pre-ordered and that's it.

FYI - Don't worry if you forget your card one day, the PhotoPass website allows you to add multiple cards to your account.:thumbsup2

One other tip - write each PhotoPass card number down somewhere just in case you lose your card. At least this way you won't lose the pics that were already on it!;)

Hope that helps.:)

The best suggestion I heard, even better than writing the number down, is to take a digital picture of the number on the card (making sure you can read it, of course)!
