What do you think of Photomovie? It looks really neat but I'm wondering if it's worth the money.

I love the photomovie. It is cute plus you can put your photopass pictures on the movie as many of them as I wanted. It wont pull up the ones with the borders around them just the plain photopass ones. Not sure if able to print them or not. But wouldnt want to. Running out of room for regular pics anyway. It came in about 2-3 weeks after placing order.

How much was the photomovie and where did you get it?

We love it! It is so cute with the 'Extra' Disney touches and park music. It really pulls at the heart strings as you remember the wonderful times you spent with loved ones and friends at the 'Happiest Place on Earth'. We've watched it every day since we received it on Monday. It only took 9 days for ours to arrive. It also makes you rethink how you take digital photos...you'll want to zoom up more and frame the people in your photo against the Disney landscapes. We can't wait until our next visit so we can create our next Photomovie.

I ordered ours 2 days ago and can't wait! My mom went with us and so I ordered 2 copies. Now it will only be $35 for each of us. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if you can order the photopass cd once you are at home? I thought they were $99 but I can't find a place to order it on the website. Am I missing something? :confused3

I think the Photopass Cds can only be done at the park. Yes they are $99.00.
Atleast this is what I gather from other threads on the Photopass CD.

I know they said there was a place in Epcot to do them but cant remember where they said it was. Aswell as a couple of other places.

This is the one thing I didn't research (okay, maybe not the only thing.) I wish I had paid attention. I just figured that I could buy it from the website.

Can you have either Disney cast members pictures put on the Photomovie (just like PhotoPass pictures), or your own pictures?

This looks interesting. I've never heard about it before. I checked out the website and I think I might do it for our trip in April. How does it work? Do you put the photos in yourself, or do you choose the photos you want and they do it all?

Also, what is Photopass?

You do it yourself. You can use your photos and your photopass photos. Does take a little time to do.

This is a neat idea. hope they have some kind of special when we go in spring '07. I find myself saying that for so many things since things change so often.

Just wondering what the photopass CD is? I think I am out of the loop a little since last year, is this different than the photopass card? I know they had some issues such as getting other peoples pics on their cards, or not getting all of their pics, or none at all? Just wondering if the CD's are something new?

The photopass cd, photopass, and photomovies are all different from my understanding.

Photopass - is the little card that still holds the pictures taken by the CM's which you need to have for either the Photopass CD or Photomovie.

Photopass CD - You take your photopass to certain areas in the park at the end of your trip when you think you arent going to get anymore pics taken at the park. You take them to these certain areas ( If i remember there is one in Epcot) and have your photopasses burned to cd. Cost $100.00 not sure if you can add any of your own pics to this cd as well. But what this gives you is the advantage of printing as many photopasses you want when you get home with no worries of copyright. I think you can do up to 300 pictures on 1 cd from my understanding.

Phototmovie - You can do when you get home and you can put both your pics and photopass pics on it does have a limited amount of pics you can put on the Photomovie. It is a DVD. Which they put special effects on it is really cute. I have done this and I have yet to attempt to try to print any pic from it. So I dont know if you can. I got to many lose pics anyway so having this I still got my photopass pics and dont have to worry about them bending breaking or getting ruined. Just have to worry about cracking or scrstching the dvd. But the cost for this is $49.95 plus shipping (this is an introductory price)

Hopefully this clears up anything and I hope I was correct with the info. The info I got about the Photopass CD was from these boards about a week or two ago so I maybe remebering some of the info wrong.

We're going in April with a couple of different groups. If we have 2 or 3 different Photopass cards, could we take them together to get one CD made and split the cost? Or is it only one photopass card per CD?

From my understanding you can use mutiple photopass cards on the CD from reading another thread off these boards. I know on the photomovie you can. Because I didnt have my photopass card the one day so I had to get another one the one day and I was able to enter both for the photomovie.

Question #1- Where do you get the photopass cards? Do the CM's give them to you?

Question #2- How do you add your photos to the movie? Do you download them to your PC?

Question #3- Are there photo ops at places in WDW besides the parks?

Thanks!!!

1 You receive them from the CMs when you get your pics taken with Mickey they will give you a card then you keep this 1 card with you and if you have your pic taken with any more charecters then you give them that same card. So it allows you to take as many pics with the characters and not have to carry around a ton of little slips with you all day. This also allows you to wait until you get home to determine which pics you want. This way you dont have to worry about ruining them on your way home.

2. On the photomovie pages there is a place to enter the photo pass number on the back of the card. Just enter that number and then it will show your photopass pics. Pretty much self explanatory.

3. When we were there over Christmas some of the resorts had people there to take pics of you infront of the resorts xmas trees. Not sure though if there are any other places to get pics taken other then in the parks.

HINT: Have the CMs thake pics with your camera as well as back up just incase it doesnt show uoo on your photopass card. I was missing a couple of mine.
