Photography/videography questions

If you dont mind sharing, could you give me some idea of how much your total photography budget was, and if you used DPS or outside photog?

How much was your videography expense? I think this is one we are going to have to cut due to budget reasons, unless we can find something affordable.


Any tips or advice to saving in this area? I am also concerned that I will sign up for a package and then it will end up costing way more with all the little hidden extras, those are what I am afraid of!


Can you use an outside photog for the ceremony at SBP, adn then use the DPS thats included for the dessert party?

What can you substitute for the DPS if you use an outside photog? I think I read that they arent letting you use the honeymoon shoot anymore?

I know video can be really pricey. We're planning on buying a new nice video camera (around $500) and a nice tripod. Handing it to our good friends and telling them to hit record. When I was looking online the cheapest I could find was around $1200.

You can have outside photographers at SBP.

My photography budget with DPS for a Wishes wedding is about $4000 before the cd (6 hours of coverage, MK shoot & studios, and the b&w package) We're using an outside photographer for our engagment shoot at around $300.
