dcg0317-- This may be a stupid question, but where are your photos? Is it my system that won't let me view them or are they not posted? Some things are blocked here at work, so I wasn't sure. Your doggie in your signature is so cute!

I use smugmug.com to host my shots, I know my work place also blocks them, but they block just about everthing.

Don - Your snowflakes are just RIDICULOUS!!!
How did you get them to grow like that? :lmao:

The Brown Pelicans are the smallest in the pelican family. Like a lot of birds in this part of the world, they were driven to near extinction in the 70’s from the use of DDT and Dieldrin. I was happy to see them as this species is once again thriving in their native environment.

USAHolidayJan2011182.jpg

I have another shot that classifies as Emergency - will post - when I get to Downtown San Francisco.

Vacation, mine Enjoying the solitude and looking at the umbrellas, NOT in use.

(You don’t seriously think I’m silly enough to post a crystal clear shot of my hairy legs, do you?)

….I made sure that we ALL grabbed some relax time.

USAHolidayJan2011189.jpg

Eh? (Canadian culture related)

We came across a flock of Canada Geese.

USAHolidayJan2011192.jpg

They were sure enjoying feeding on the green grass!

The long-billed curlew is also known as the Candlestick bird. Did you know that Candlestick Park was named after them? These birds were once on the brink of extinction in the 1800’s. They migrate to NorCal in the winter.

Thanks, I used my Canon 180mm macro lens for those shots. I used a black pan that I put in the frezzer so it wasn't warm and melt the snow flakes when I brought it outside. I only wish it was larger flakes, the snow was very fine and small.

Still in NorCal...

Eh? Canadian Culture related My luck at finding hunt items held all through the trip. This was given to my DS from a Canadian work colleague of my DH's. Totally unexpected; and I couldn't stop laughing when he came back with it.
