Island-when there are folks at the house they put up the flag.

Obsolete-an old smoke stack at what was the Hingham Shipyard. You can't quite tell from this photo that the smoke stack is in the parking lot-not near or attached to any building. Now the shipyard is a shopping mall/condos. The shipyard was built quickly during WWII and they built over 200 ships in 3 years. http://www.thehinghamshipyard.net/

Barber's pole* Endangered species in Melbourne as well as Sydney. The barber had this inside the shop.

Emergency** This is the closest I got. Police car just arrived before me (police man still in the car) and blocked the street...

...and police man not letting any cars through. Some sort of car accident a little bit further down the road.

Dogs riding in Car* There are 4 of them in this van. The owner was just walking round to get the dogs out and I asked if I could take a shot. He said yes, but I didn't think he was very happy, so I only got this quick shot.

Lighthouse This is the front lighthouse at Port Melbourne, built in 1924 and hasn't been used in years. (There is a back lighthouse but I didn't go looking for it today.) http://www.lighthouse.net.au/lights/vic/Port Melbourne/Port Melbourne.htm

Museum The National Gallery of Victoria. Currently showing the European Masters from the Stadel Museum. I hope to go see the exhibition and to be able to take some shots from inside before the end of this assignment.

Monument* Melbourne's Shrine of Rememberance and the Eternal Flame; a memorial for those who served and died in the Great War; and armed conflicts and peacekeeping duties since.

Navy Ship* (listing to one side, like the lighthouse - apologies. It was a very windy day today in Melbourne and I obviously didn't see the lean until I got home)

Stormy A typical stormy (and cold) day for Melbourne this winter!

Tiki Hut* I found a cafe that had a Tiki Hut built INSIDE the cafe. I couldn't find a position where I could take the full Hut!

Baseball Stadium - Ripken Stadium, Aberdeen, Maryland - This is the stadium that Baltimore Orioles, Hall of Famer and Iron Man Cal Ripken Built after his retirement. It is the home for Orioles minor league affiliate The Aberdeen Ironbirds.

We had a lot of fun in Boston today despite a torential rain storm. We took a commuter boat into town.

Bridge (replacement)-this is a draw bridge I drive over every day to/from work. It is really tough in the winter with lots of oil deliveries and the bridge is open nearly every day some weeks.
