Took some great pictures of the MK Spectromagic parade on Main St. over Thanksgiving.
Was using 200 ISO film. The best ones were shot at 1/30 second at F2.8. Got a good mix of the lights both on the floats and buildings, and could make out the outlines of the floats.
My camera can't go any more stops larger. But if it did, some of the lights on the Main St. buildings were starting to overexpose.
One stop smaller (F4) the lights on the floats and buildings came out but almost nothing else. The lights on the overhead Main St. decorations seemed weak.
Disney hints:

For video, it is best to use manual exposure for night shots if possible. If you are shooting Christmas lights, adjust for the best color of the lights, not the people.
