Photographing Pets

btw, Todd, would you mind sharing how you get the link to post just one picture from SmugMug (and not the whole gallery)? I haven't been able to figure it out.

Just open the picture you'd like to post...right click it and go to "Properties" and copy and paste the URL from there. Paste it in the response box on DIS between
and you should be good to go!!

PS: Todd---those are some of the prettiest doggy eyes I have ever seen!!! I agree with Linda though, I think you've got your hands full with this one! :lmao:

She's beautiful, Todd. But I have to say, she's got that crazy look in her eyes! :lmao: I think you're going to have your hands full!

:rotfl2: Thanks!

She does have a "spark" in her eye, doesn't she? I've always loved the Husky blue eyes. They look almost human.

Thanks, Ann! Yes, we definitely have our hands full, but how can you resist those eyes :confused3 ? The Huskies are very intelligent dogs but they can be difficult to train if they're not mentally stimulated, so we're thinking VERY seriously about working with a professional trainer. Huskies are very sweet and loving and good with children, but you have to challenge them mentally and keep them exercised or there could be trouble :rotfl2: . I laugh now, but please keep your fingers crossed for us!

Well, Nali is settling in just fine... I'm a little sleep deprived though :surfweb: .

The kids love her

And our lab loves her too (but is quick to let Nali know who is the #1 dog)

All of them are SO FREAKIN CUTE. I feel your pain about being sleep deprived, our chocolate lab barks at everything non-stop...so there are lots of hours in the night where we just lay there and listen, praying with each glance at the clock that he will just SHUT UP ALREADY!!! ;) On the upside, at least they're housebroken...puppy training was no fun at all. :scared1:

Absolutely adorable, Todd. All of us here enjoyed the pictures. :goodvibes

Oh yeh, she's wild! :lmao:

Thanks! And you're right... she is a bit wild. I love to watch her run. She has some kind of afterburner speed that she can launch into where her ears go back and she gets herself streamlined :rotfl2: . I have a picture of it, but it was too fast and my panning isn't very good so it's not very clear. i'll try to get some more and hopefully have a good one to post here soon. It's a really funny sight!

My new horse, Ronnie. His eyes are on stalks because I don't think he's seen the sea before.

Just going through some old pictures.

Graeme, I like this picture. I was wondering if horses put their tails between their legs when they're nervous, too?

Chewie (almost 3 yrs old)

Wonderful pics Sam! Thanks for sharing them.

Those are great, Sam. Love this one especially:

Thanks all....That's my favourite too. The older cats don't like getting their pics taken much but that loveable Chewie is just so much fun to try to capture. He's a lovebug.

I think I probably posted a photo of my Charlie back toward the beginning of this thread, but since it's now over 80 pages, here's one I took yesterday:

He's a lab-something mix, sweetest dog ever, will lick you to death, and he's my baby.:lovestruc

This is a photo of one of my cousins Japanese Chin rescues that I snapped one day while visiting. It was chosen for the rescue 2009 calendar so I guess that now I am published! :goodvibes

Hey, he does look kind of majestic in the white room on that big, jewel colored bed, LOL. (Did you know these were the dogs of kings?)

Congratulations! :goodvibes
