Photographers

We have just booked our Escape Wedding for May 2010 and a little confused over what photographer to have.
At present we get 20 pics and a CD in our package. We have thought about getting a outside photographer to come in as they seem cheaper than addons with Disney. Can the 2 work together?
Our other concern is since its a 5pm wedding, how much sunlight have we got left to get some fab pics.

My daughter had a May wedding last year and her ceremony was at 8:30. The photographer started taking pictures at 5 p.m. and everything turned out fine. He took formal pictures at the Grand Floridian and then outside on the beach area at the Wedding Pavilion since the ceremony was at the Pavilion. It is daylight savings time then and there is still plenty of daylight until around 8 or so in the evening. You should not have any problem. She had a wishes wedding and used Disney Photography and their photographer was Mike Strickland who was fabulous!!!!

CONGRATS! First of all! Another Escape bride!

I have been told by my planner that Disney wont work with another photographer there. I even asked Disney if they would just come to my reception and take some cake pics or something- but they said No.

I understand the feeling of not wanting to waste that money though it does stink! But you can just tell yourself that it's cheaper in the long run!
