HI! We have got our pictures done at the resort in 07 and 09...the price has like doubled (maybe even tripled) now they want like 350 for an hour at the resorts and give you the cd...I think there was some other things too but for 350 I dont think the ones that we had on previous years had that....um photographers eye? I was wondering if anyone does this ...besides the really expense wedding photographers down there. Thanks!

Not yet still looking... actually i am going to be researching this alot in the next couple of weeks. Disney Photographers at the park are great and for the 99.95 I dont mind paying it with the park pictures but for the portrait session they are way to expensive now for the average pics we get. In the past it was a good deal but hoping to find something different

My understanding is that in the past the resort photographer were PhotoPass photographers, which is why they may not have had "the photographer's eye" as the OP said. PhotoPass photograhers are hired without any prior experience or interest in photography.

I read somewhere that there was recently a change and they were no longer doing the PhotoPass sessions at the resort. Now sessions are done through Disney's Event Photography division, which is staffed by the professional photographers who also shoot Disney weddings. That would explain why the price is more than you remember, and the quality should be much better.

I have 2 friends that are professional photographers in the area. Both are AP holders and would be interested in this type of work.

Please DM me if you would like their websites and/or contact information.

That's a really good idea. Never thought of getting an outside photog to do a photo shoot. May have to keep this in mind for next August.
