Photographer recs?

Just found out Randy Chapman isn't available for the date we've selected. I'd heard such great things about him on this site. Anyway, I'd love to hear from people who used a non-disney photographer and were happy with their pics. If I could see some of your pics or the photographer's website that we be great too. Thank you so much.

We adored our photographer (Evan from Patkenphotographer.com)

Not only was he amazing on our wedding day, but his photography is excellent and very artistic. We received a much better deal than any other photographers we found and we couldn't have been happier.

I'm in the same dilemma...Randy was not available for our date. So I narrowed it down to 2-3 others: Paul Triller & Gary Fox. They are very comparable in both cost and talent to Randy.

Anyone heard or used them before?

Paul was a photographer we were considering. In the end it was between him and Randy and we chose Randy but let me tell you it was a tough choice. I have seen some of Paul's work and he is phenomenal.

Sorry to hear that about Randy but I am sure you will find an amazing photographer. All of the ones listed above are the top choices...Patken. Paul Triller and Gary Fox and all in the same (give or take depending on what you get although you should check) price range. Good luck

How far in advance should one try to contact Randy for a wedding? I'm worried that if I wait too long, I'll loose my shot at him.

Well, I was looking for Randy for late March and he was booked. When is your wedding?

I contacted him before I even got my date (I say at the 1 year 6 month point) and I had him pencil me in (he will do this for Disney weddings because he understands the process). Once I got my date I called him and got things rolling (signed contract and sent deposit). I say call as soon as possible because Randy is very popular.

Hey Vicki...My VR is in May 2008. I guess I will contact him and he can guide me from there. At this point, I can move my date to a time when he's available.
