Photobucket

Copy the url at the bottom of the picture that has image brackets around it
. Then paste that here in your reply. You may have to resize the picture first if it's too big.

You're welcome.

For best viewing, it's good to keep the size around 800X600 or so (and that's the required size for the Weekly Photo Contest). To check the size, right click on the picture and go to Properties, then Dimensions.

Another suggestion, before you get seriously invested in putting your photos at photobucket, you might want to look at smugmug and zenfolio. You have to pay a little bit for them, but you have better control of your pictures and no advertising.

If your just wanting to put a few online photobucket works fine, if you want a serious online service for use as an offsite back up, go with the for fee site.

Both smugmug and zenfolio will allow you to set up a free trial account to try it out.

I will definitely check the sizes before I post. I will take a look at those other sites as well. Thank you both very much. I love this stuff!

Is there a way to make folders or albums on Photobucket. I can't seem to find that option. It must be right under my nose again?
TIA

After uploading some photos from recent trip to share, I decided to upload some to archive ( and not share). Is there a way to set up folders and choose what to share and not?
I keep looking in all the options and can't figure this out at all. TIA

Photobucket shrinks your photos when you upload them and thus is not suitable for archival. I would look at a pay photo site such as those mentioned by Master Mason for archival.

:confused3 I am new in trying to post photos, I have treid with photobucket but to resize takes forever, the site seems sooo slow. I use picasa for all my photos but I can't figure out if I can use that to post here. I am ok with photobucket just for posting here, but it just seems much to slow. Any tips or ideas? thanks!

I know what you mean about photobucket being slow. It runs really slow on my laptop but better on the pc:confused3
Tho, I haven't ever had to resize anything. I upload my photos to photobucket then use the link(img code) to add them to a post. They come out the right size without me doing anything more.

Have you tried Flock? It's a web browser w/a tool bar up top that lets you batch upload to Photo bucket and Flikr. It will also give you the option to resize all the pictures at once. I've never had it take more then a minute or two if that and I upload LOTS of pictures. The coolest part is after it's done you can just drag and drop your pictures right into your post.

I have only tried photobucket so far, it worked ok but someone suggested that i downsize a little, the photos are BIG the entire space, I was teting to go to the message board size,640x480 I think. That took sooo long that I got frustrated and gave up. I did post one smaller but I can't seem to resize after that. Thanks for the tips, I will practice today when ds goes down for a nap!

800x600 is what I use as a default on my photobucket account. I just download it right to photobucket from my computer at that size.

I'm moving away from photobucket though and now use smugmug. With smugmug you download the full size image, then they offer 8 different sizes to choose from with a 1 click copy. This way you can store your full image, and still easily share with 1 click a small copy with places like this or for email.
