I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread documenting PB issues and DISer's attempts to correct or get around them....

I am having issues. My images look fine in PB but they are distorted when you try to download or save. This began on 1/1/2013. So far no alternate way of saving has worked for me.....

I am going to try to re-upload and see if the issues continue but first I am going to try to update my Adobe Flash and see if that makes any difference.

Anyone else, please chime in so we can get to the bottom of this.

Also feel free to contact Photobucket so they know how much trouble we are having. Tell them the browser you use and what version. It may help them narrow it down.

and if nobody comments on any problems with PB since 1/1/2013, I will assume that all is well at your end!! :confused3

I don't think that DISigners want this dialogue in individual request threads where it can be missed by others....

They keep switching my account to the "New" look and I keep resetting it to the old look.

Mel, I have been doing the same. I much prefer the "old" version. So far, no issues on my end, knock on wood.

The only issue I had was it not letting me log in for almost a full day.

Ditto to Mel. They keep switching mine, and I can't organize. I also wasn't able to copy and paste into Word or GIMP (similar to Photoshop).

mine seems to switch at work but not at home. of course my internet service has been down (again) for the last 3 days so who knows :confused3

I have had multiple DISers say that the images that I created starting 1/1/2013 download distorted. I am re-uploading now

In my testing I have found that right clicking and saving on the zoomed image in PB results yields a distorted image. Selecting Download (original size) has worked correctly for me.

I believe that PB was, for a period of time, making the default download web size so if the image was larger than that it was distorting it.

I hope all will be well with my re-uploaded DISigns!

Same here. I do not like the new version. I keep switching it back. Think they would get the idea. That is the only problem I am having right now.

I was having the same problem with disigns being distorted when disers tried to download them.....in trying to re upload the disigns, PB wouldn't work at all for me for about 2 days....I was emailing disigns requests because of this. I was able to upload fine yesterday though.:confused3 and I can't upload anything to 4shared at all and haven't been able to since the middle of December. Contacted them and they said they would look into problem then never got back to me after multiple emails. I might need to start looking into another free photo hosting site.:confused3

I wasn't having this problem for a couple weeks, so I thought it was no longer an issue. I was wrong.

About 1 out of 3 times I can't get use PB with Safari. I have to use Firefox. It is a little frustrating but not the end of the world. I thought I would add that to the list. :goodvibes

I have another issue that lingers....I try to upload a new image that is not huge by any means and the top of the image is "messed" up. Usually it will correct itself on its own but sometimes I have to delete and re-upload multiple times. And sometimes the thumbnail on the forum temporarily looks messed up where the image is perfectly find in PB.

I tried to resolve with their help facilities and they simply didn't get that it wasn't just me that was having issues, particularly with downloading

Well at least I have found it better than 4shared :confused3

Some of my DISigns look pixel-y when they are posted. I am not sure why. Specifically, some of my texts look bad. They are still crystal clear at 500%, before I load them in PB. Is there a setting I need to change in PB?
Please help. I have sent many forms to PB, and they haven't responded to any of them beyond an automatic reply.
Thanks,
Dee

I am still dealing with PB. Still nothing is fixed but they did at least respond to me. When will this madness end? Can't we just go BACK!!!!

I just saw this post, Marion, and this is exactly what is happening with some of the images you created for me! Weird that it's just half of them, not the other half, even though I am downloading them all the same way...

I really think PB was designed to be used with PCs rather than tablets??

Ask PB if you have issues....I can't help you since all is fine at my end and has been for weeks

Well, I'm using a PC, not a tablet. I am on PB right now, attempting to figure out how to contact them with issues. Can't seem to find a contact area, so may just have to go without these images. It's a shame.

I find when I am having issues If I switch to using chrome as my browser instead of IE I have better luck.

I am having trouble resizing my photos, ie making them smaller. It won't "Save", saying a Windows Explorer script is running - or something to that effect. Aggravating. I also couldn't figure out how to upload them in a smaller size, whereas it used to be very easy to do. :headache:

maybe we can help narrow down issues if we list version of Windows we are using, which browser etc. Mine is Windows Vista with Firefox.

I also recommend that you be sure that you have lastest browser edition as well as updated Flash, Java etc. Who knows what PB requires!??

and I can't answer PB questions....they are as much a mystery to me as to you

find the HELP button (upper right?) and it should enable you to ask a question or contact support
