Has anyone created thier own photobooks with you wedding photos?

I am looking for the most professional place. I want one with a cover that you can put your picture on. I have used mypubliser and looked at the kodak site but its not quite what I want. I want to make sure the paper quality is good as well.

I made one on Snapfish for a past Disney vacation... I liked it a lot and was nice quality and affordable.

I did one this past weekend! The book should be here today/tomorrow, so I'll let you know how they turned out but looked gorgeous in my layout (if I do say so myself, ha ha). PM me your e-mail and I'll try to "share" it with you via Shutterfly.

I went with Shutterfly because (a) at the time, they were offering 30% off additional books ordered (their coupons change all the time but you can find 'em if you google "shutterfly coupon" and (b) I liked the options you could use for the cover and inside pages more like I liked snapfish (my regular online ordering site; I order all my prints through them and LOVE it!).

HTH!

Edited to add: I have a friend who is obsessed with photo books (she got married and had a baby in the past 18 months) and has done I think 8 or 9 total. She's used both Kodak and Shutterfly and when I asked her which she liked best, she said Shutterfly. Just an FYI.

I made a few of the Kodak ones...while it didn’t have the variety i was originally looking for the book came out great. The paper quality is wonderful and the cover has held up nicely

I've ordered a few books from photoworks.com now. So far I have been very happy with the quality and intend on ordering some photobooks of our wedding once we have the photos back. I thought my fiances parents might appreciate a whole big of photos more then just one blown up and framed.

I've made a few with Shutterfly and loved the way they turned out. Also check out Creative Memories. They started doing photobooks, and I may try them next as they offer some more options than Shutterfly.

Good luck!

I was also going to recommend creative memories. Search out their main site. The software and templates are free to download and play around with... and you can mix and match templates. (But the template you choose is the cover you have to use)

I used Picaboo to create one of our engagement pics. It turned out really well, except for the last page where I spread one pic out over two pages. That was my fault though, I forgot to take the binding into consideration. I found a 50% coupon for first time users so I got a great deal.

Im using mypublisher.com for a book with my galapagos pics in it...its a little more costly, but a VERY nice set up. Very easy to customize and great pic quality. My friend has one and I love it...worth every penny.

We just got ours back from Shutterfly (we did one regular Photobook and one of the smaller story books, I think they call them). We loved them (as has everyone that we've shown).

P.S. Right now Target is having a sale through Shutterfly: visit targetphoto.shutterfly.com/julyoffer and enter promo code TGAA-SFLY and get a photobook for $23.99 instead of $29.99 (not including shipping).

Good luck with whatever you choose!

Thanks for the info...I was looking at Shutterfly today, I like the 12 x12 books, they are 54.99. Maybe I can find a sale on them.

Do a google search for "Shutterfly photobook coupon" or something like that and all kinds of codes come up! I searched around until I found one I liked. Right now it seems they have 20% off, free shipping, etc. I *always* do a google search for anything I buy online; you'd be surprised how many coupon codes there are out there!

I recently made one for my cousin's wedding and I loved how it came out. Lots of freedom with the page layouts and pretty straight forward layout software.

You can make your book private so it doesn't show up in the public bookstore. The software is free to download and the pricing depends on the length of the book.

sorry to take over the thread and ask another question, but is the photobooks from Disney any good? I was going to use them for two one for our wedding photos and memories and the other for a vacation photobook.

I have never heard of "photobooks". Forgive me if this seems like a dumb question, but what are photobooks??? :goodvibes
