Being mammals, "anaerobic fermentation" also occurs in the digestive systems of whales. For the first time scientists have captured a whale in the process of "blowing bubbles in the tub":

Okay, I'll go out on a limb here. I confess... I like farts. Farts are good things. First of all, if you couldn't fart you would die. If you ever have abdominal surgery, all the doctors and nurses want to know if you fart and then they're all overjoyed because it means your digestion is working.

And farts are fun. They must be, anytime someone farts people giggle. They're a good reason to get a dog, so you can blame the fart on the dog. How about letting out a SBD (silent but deadly) in a car and pretending you didn't do it, that can be even more fun if you're the driver and can lock the windows. There's not much more fun than farting in bed and pulling the covers over your better half's head. This is free entertainment folks!

Plus they make unique sounds, you never know what you're going to get.

And they feel sort of nice.

It's fun to be a mammal.

that said, I like farts too. I think the only thing I can differ with is that they feel nice. SOMETIMES they burn!
