I know that some photography packages offer an 6 or 8 hour photo package. I was wondering which packages you all have gone with and how that worked out for you time wise. I would love to have getting ready photos, but I'm thinking the 6 hour package would not offer room for that. It would be interesting to see how everyone's timeline worked out for them and what you were able to accomplish in your 6 or 8 hour package. :)

we tried to do the math and felt 6 hours wouldn't be enough and we're hoping to squeeze everything into 8 hours. we're thinking first look may be half an hour. pre- and post ceremony plus ceremony itself may be 2 hours. reception is 4 hours. then dessert party is probably an hour.

we used david and vicki arndt (who are totally amazing and awesome and the best ever). we had what probably was like a 6 hour package? also it was a small wedding (just 4 in the wedding party), but i forwent “getting ready photos” per se. however, since i stayed the night before at the GF (wedding at the WP) and we had planned for the “before” family pics at the GF before we all shuttled to the WP, vicki ran up to my room and snapped several pics of my dress hanging and a couple of last minute "powdering the nose" shots. she also snuck some great shots of our decorated door etc....

so for us it worked out - but i guess we also did have a daytime ceremony. but we had lots of time and got tons and tons of great pics!
