Diggin the creativity Fractal, the light steaks kind of look like light waves in the ocean

Thanks! - used a .6 sec exposure, stopped down the aperture and panned left to right. After taking a number of standard landscape shots, I felt like experimenting. :D

Chris, does that 24 focus that close or are you using an adapter?

Harry,

The lens has a minimum focus distance of just over 6 inches and a 1:4 magnification. Not a true macro but can get great close up shots.

This particular shot was shot maybe 1-2 feet away and I cropped in. The bee was stuck at a window and would get agitated if I got to close.

I'm at Universal right now, with a6300. I'll try to post some soon.

Kong should be open for you. Got to check it out

Kong has been closed all day today. I got some decent long exposures of Hogsmeade last night. They look
good straight OOC but I want to work on processing before I post.

@havoc315 so what did you think of the parks? Diagon and Hogsmeade?

The Harry Potter stuff was truly amazing. Blows Disney out of the water, in what they have accomplished. Especially being in Gringotts bank felt almost surreal. I loved how Diagon Alley isn't even labelled, no signs. We almost couldn't find it for a few seconds, as it is truly a hidden alley in London.
Aside from the Harry Potter stuff, my opinions were more mixed. I have another thread in the Universal disboard with my thoughts.

Being here on the photography board, I am disappointed in how unfriendly Universal is to photographers. So many rides where you need to locker your cameras. And even when you don't locker your cameras, finding photography against the rules on it seemed almost every ride. I actually tried to generally obey the rules.. I didn't realize photography was forbidden at Poseidon's Fury until an employee saw me snap a shot and advise me.
Not sure if things are changing in theme park photography, or it's because of Universal policies, but I observed so so few dSLRs around. I actually did see a few Sony E-mounts... At least one other A6000/6300 besides myself, and 2 or 3 A7's. But I don't really remember seeing anyone with a traditional dSLR. (Of course, lots of people using their phones).

Uni def doesn't cater to the photographers like Disney does. That is one thing Disney does better. Try bringing in a tripod to Universal and you would think you were a threat to national security with they way they treat you. Did you guys stay on site?

I guess maybe because I go so much, the way Uni is doesn't really come as a shock to me but can see from someone in your shoes how it comes as a shock the differences
