Here's mine for the day. I took this with the Minolta Rokkor 50mm + the focal reducer -

Thanks Fractal, another nice and colorful shot! Wish the guy on the left would've tilted his head at just the right moment and gotten out of frame.

I've never used a focal reducer, does that basically negate the crop sensor effect on full frame lenses? Is there any drop in image quality? Just checked Amazon and there's a PIXCO focal reducer for $90, is that the only one for NEX to MD (I have a 50mm Minolta too [non Rokkor]).

The PIXCO is the one I have. It's made in China so the quality is not up to par with a Metabones Speedbooster ( those run for about $400 ), but I find it good enough. I think metabones and others also offer MD to E-mount focal reducers.

It basically turns the 50mm 1.4 on APS-C from a Full Frame equivalent of 75mm 1.4 to a Full Frame equivalent of roughly 50mm f/0.95. I used it at WDW for a number of "dark ride" shots. In bright daylight it's sometimes hard to handle and the extra glass in the PIXCO is more evident, but the character of the Rokkor is still maintained.

Here are a few daylight shots with the Rokkor 50mm 1.4 + PIXCO focal reducer.

Out of focus shot of the back of my daughter, but gives you an idea of the bokeh.

This is a good example of how the lens gives a more "film like" look. At least I think so.

I feel it was $90 well spent. By the way, I never noticed that guy's head until you mentioned it. Lol!

I really love the Sigma 30mm 2.8, still learning how to utilize the A6000's focusing with this lens.

@fractal is it worth getting the 19mm over just setting the kit to 19mm?

I had shared this picture before but just love the sharpness and color rendition

Honestly, unless you need that extra 1/2 stop aperture, I think the kit is close to the Sigma @ 19mm. The 30mm is very sharp and great in situations like the picture you took. The only thing I didn't like about the 30mm Sigma was the bokeh, but for the cost it's a terrific lens.

Got some lucky lion movement action on the Kilimanjaro safari last week - the following taken with my A6000 & FE70-200mm F4 lens from the bumpy moving truck that wouldn't stop despite the fact that the lion was actually up for a change:

Back from a long weekend in Orlando and then some other real life stuff going on. Was fortunate enough to be able to take a behind the scenes tour of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal and came away with some great photos.
