Some images of the aftermath of the beginning of Nemo before it combined with the southern storm and hit the east coast. We only got five inches of very wet, clingy snow. Taken with the K5.
This is my first post with the K-5II. Last month I bought the D600 and kept fighting the big dust/oil sensor problem. Anyway I decided to stick with the Pentax K-5II. The camera is solid and feels great.
I normally don't "gimmicky up" my photos, opting for clear, sharp images that portray what I saw through my viewfinder. However, at about 2:00 a.m. this morning, I was bored and couldn't sleep, so I started playing. I'm still not sure I like it, but it is definitely different than what I normally do. Give me your opinions, you can't hurt my feelings because as I said, this is something I normally don't do and I don't know if I like it. At least I wouldn't do this as a steady diet.
Hey Mr Terry, I like HDR's when they are used to capture different lighting but are PP to look natural. I usually just adjust highlights, shadows, contrast and I get the punch from increasing clarity. I haven't used Topaz in a while because I find I like the "what I saw" look more.
I guess I'm used to "your" style.
Like most of my photos that aren't portraits, I usually increase clarity a bit in LR4 to give it that detailed look like in my castle shot.
Oh yeah, did I mention that this K-5 gets as much DR as the D600.
