Dave, you're not helping me get a new camera at all with those shots! Everytime I see your work, I just think to myself: I don't need a new camera; I just need to learn how to shoot with my D80 as well as Dave does!
Great work, as always.

Wow thank you so much Laura!!!

Remember, I'm not posting the lousy shots and there was plenty of them as well.... lol I do wish the D80 had a higher iso then 1600. Other then that I really like the camera.

I want less noise with higher ISOs, too. That's my main reason for looking at the D700 and waiting to see what the next iteration of the D300 will be. I don't know if I really want to give up the crop factor and I love so many of my DX lenses.

This is my first picture on this thread. I picked up a D5000 last week, and am having a blast learning how to use it.
Here is a shot using my telephoto lens:

We haven't had single flurry up here where we are just outside of Toronto!!! Which suits me just fine.

Yes, nice shots Dave! Looks like you aren't getting a lot of noise at 1600 with your D80. Are you using noise reduction on them?

Last night was my oldest DD's high school holiday chorus show. They were lucky enough to have Richard Carpenter (of the Carpenters) playing an original composition that his daughter sang.

Thanks Susan!!

What I have been trying to do is rework some of the night shots in Topaz to help with the noise. EE was put through Topaz but the earlier night shots I posted were pretty much out of the camera. The noise was quite deafening on some shots. It really depended on the amount ambient light I had to work with.
