DH's new project: growing a coffee tree. These are the beans just arrived from the supplier.

Oooh, I can smell those beans! My dh used to roast coffee and we always got the green beans from Sweet Maria's.

Great shot Dave!:thumbsup2
Mine for today. DD on top of Mt Monroe. Mt Washington in background. Coolpix L6.

Great shot on Mt Monroe!

I climbed Washington (the Jewel trail) for the first time ever last summer.
The only view I got was fog! You really luck out with the weather!

Your daughter is in shorts! We were mittens and hats by the time we reached the approximate destination of your photo.

Wow, thanks so much for the compliments on my attempted wildlife shots everybody.

Here's another one for today.....

I still haven't done Washington! My lab, Hershey, has done it 3 times, once was in winter. DH more than 10. He is an avid hiker and takes the dog a lot. She only has 2 more of the 48 4000footers left to do and she's done many of the 46 more than once. I've done 28 or so. Dd and I are hoping to do Washington this summer. It was a little chilly on Monroe that day. I ended up with my jacket on. Big difference in temp just between the Lake of the Clouds hut and the summit.
This is Hershey swimming in the Lake of the Clouds after hiking up Monroe.

OK, I'm still a bit shakey and I did have my crazy puppy pulling on his leash when I took this, but I don't feel it looks very spring like. We woke up to snow this morning.

No white balance adjustment as I was with the pup and still not really sure how to do it.

Hardly a Sunday went by when we didn't go out to the Rhein when we lived in Wiesbaden. I saw Lorelei so many times. Thank you soooooooooo much for this picture.

POTD.....
Loreley is the name of one of the beautiful Rhine Maidens who lured navigators of this river to their dooms with their alluring singing, much as the ancient Greek Sirens did.
Loreley, a beautiful young maiden, committed suicide because of an unfaithful lover. She jumped from the steep rock into the Rhine River, thus killing herself. She then became a siren, luring shipmen to their fates with her hypnotizing voice. The echoing heard today is said to be Loreley.
