I am going from a sony DSLR to th Nikon and I like it a lot. I feel like the focusing isn't as fast as my Sony was, but I am probably using the wrong settings lol

I am in the process of reading the manual because I have no idea what I am doing lol

Don't worry you'll get it. I'm still learning and taking a ton of photos to try to figure out what I'm doing wrong/right. I'm sure a lot of the pros probably can rip my photos to shreds from the settings to composition and on and on. I still haven't finished reading the manual for the D90 myself! If you get to the part about how to edit the HD videos before I do can you please post it here? Have fun!

Thank you! He is the BEST dog. We've had him since oldest DD was two. We were at an adoptathon and she put her arm in his mouth up to her elbow and he just sat there. We took him right away! He's going on 13yrs old.

They are dolls, he'll be smitten! Yes, he's Black Lab and a smidge of something else but we don't know what. Once upon a time he was pure black, lol. Best dog I've ever owned, he watches over the kids and will corral them if they go near somewhere they're not supposed to be. He's just an all around good boy!

I'm curious, what made you switch to Nikon

I had a really bad customer service issue with Sony. My camera was only a couple months old and I sent it in to repair a mark that was on my sensor that showed up in all my photos. It took them 2 months to look at it and to tell me that it just needed to be cleaned and not repaired. It was just a horrible experience because every time I would call them or e-mail them, they would tell me "Our normal turn around time is 5-10 days" and this was after it's been with them for 2 weeks.

I loved the camera though, it was great for my first DSLR.

I wanted the Nikon cause my friend let me play around with his and I just loved it so much! lol
