Our main reason for visiting Cyprus this past Sept was to see where my Popou(grandfather) came from. He came to the US around 1930, all but one of his sister's ended up in the US so only her family and their parents were left in Vavla, Cyprus. When my great grandparents died in the late 1960's, early 1970's the house was just left to sit.
One photo is what's left of the house, the other is of one of my great grandparent's clothing still hanging where is was left 40+ years ago.

Taken on our hike to Carter Dome, on my quest to finish hiking the 48 NH 4000 footers. 35 down, 13 to go. The Presidential Range from the top of Mt Hight. Mt Washington had a dusting of snow.

According to the USDA, NH is the most forested state in the lower 48 at almost 89%. Pretty cool since back around 1900 the majority of the state was logged and burned. It must have looked quite desolate.
