What a fun idea.
I went out with a bunch of coworkers last weekend. We call ourselves the pink ladies and one of the secretaries I work with made all these costumes, and we walked around Salem MA and collected donations for breast cancer research. This was the second year they did it, and my first. It was a great time. Salem is insane at halloween.
Your girls are too cute! I just could not help but think how much your one dd looks like Diane Keaton...maybe its the hat or glasses?? even her face looks like her. Too cute. lol
Wow those are some lucky trick or treaters. Hey next time your in Fla can I pay you to tutor me . Your pictures leave me speechless. Did you take classes?
Nope. Just spent lots of money, read lots of books, and deleted lots of crummy shots. I'm at the point now where all I think I need to do to get where I want is to spend lots more money and read a lot more books.
I don't have any from the Disney party. I do have some pictures from Halloween back home last year. We set up a mini-studio in the garage and shot the trick-or-treaters as they came through. It was a hoot. We're going to do it again this year (hopefully better). You can see the shots at http://photos.barbierifamily.org/gallery/3752403_m6qFr.
As usual, we set up our garage as a studio and shot the trick-or-treaters as they came through. The shots are here on my Smugmug site and the slideshow is here.
Here are a few of my favorites.
My mildly insane older son dressed as a gnome on a toadstool:
These kid's grandmother made these costumes. They were very impressive.
I send out a link to the Smugmug site to all of the parents in the neighborhood. They can download the photos from there. That avoids clogging people's mailboxes.
Great job Mark! I was hoping you had 'set up shop' this Halloween as you did last year!
Did you do anything different with your set up this year compared to last?
Awesome job with your son's costume! The most creative one I saw in our area was one of my daughter's classmates went as a voting booth- complete with curtain. We had an informal poll at the end of the night because the 'booth' had two polling boxes (one representing each candidate) to collect the candy.
Can we use this to share our own pictures? Well I am going too since I thought my little girl was pretty darn cute in her Elephant costume. Which my Mom made. The head was all hand sewn and the body was on the sewing machine. She used to make all of our costumes when I was a kid growing up, and we had the best.
This was Gillian's first Halloween costume:
Mark, awesome job on the images above. I think this is a wonderful idea, and something I might try to set up next year.
